I have one thing to say and it might be the first…. You sound like David spade to me. But beside that you have true talent and it is amazing to see. Great job 🎉.

I've added some links to materials to the "about". Headliner foam is my go-to for structure in pieces like this. For the primary material, I like a 400-500D cordura or packcloth or a lightweight faux leather.

By any chance could you make a pattern for a possible Batman 2021 cowl por favor? I feel like it’s possible to make it out of pleather or the material demonstrated in this video perhaps

Any chase you will show how to put together any of the other parts? Even if it is only after we buy the patterns. I'm just having a hard time figuring out how to do the rest, way too much time spent trying to understand what to do.

Hi Kevin - Apologies for being so behind in replying. I'm trying to work through some additional videos for the other patterns. Was there a specific pattern you needed help with? If so, please DM me on Etsy or email me and I'll do my best to help out. You can also take a look at my build threads on smpdesigns.com - I walk through a lot of the techniques, materials and processes there. Thank you!

Can the patterns work for any other fabrics without the use of headliner foam?

Hi, I bought your pattern off of Etsy, but am struggling with the edging around the eyes. How do you start it?

You could try using this with foam, but it's going to be quite restricting as to movement. If anything, I would make the neck/hood out of fabric with headliner for structure and then make only the upper part out of eva.

It can be yes! But the reason I made this in two pieces is so that you can take the face/upper head off to cool down. Also, depending on the materials you use, you can then pull the cowl back off your head without having to take the whole thing off to release heat.

Question. I watched my grandmother for years using a sewing machine i realized that way is not for me. I could do this by hand correct?

you just think of the fabric as a shoe and the needle and thread as a shoelace and it is as simple as that just tie a knot at the end

I know this comment is a tad old, but I totally prefer hand-stitching because I feel like I have more control over it. With thicker material like leather or foam, it tends to work easier that way! If you do stitch by hand, I recommend having good quality needles that are sharp (I keep a couple different sizes/thicknesses for different fabrics and materials). Also having a leather thimble helps!
