Another tip for cutting segments (for rail) as opposed to creating a junction like badger showed you, is to create another track parallel, which will automatically create the same bridge type, draw it as long as you want your bridge to be, then delete the original section and redraw it as long as the parallel section you draw, which will retain your selected bridge type, then you can delete the parallel "measuring" section that you might not need for single track. I find drawing a parallel section and temporarily deleting the piece that is too long more precise than the junction method. Very useful tutorial though, thanks, I've seen GrandT do it, I assume he got it from you, but this tutorial has a better theory explanation. I really wish the devs would make the auto bridging and tunnelling mechanics better, I've gotten way tighter tunnels doing it manually, but counting to incremental steps and creating the underground part first. When drawing a network under another network on an embankment that is clearly high enough, like your example, it should give both bridge and tunnel options to select from. Thankfully we have mods that do make the game better, but the devs could do more.

Thanks. I've since started using zero height but I don't always like the results, also if you want points on low bridges you still need to lower the terrain

I am using the same technique.. However.. The standard height is 4 clicks, right..... I usually keep with 3 clicks instead, and then you will have no issues with the road or track thereafter.

I'm trying to download them and they are not in a zip file but instead downloading as a 7Z file for both the Fortress and Bridgehead mods. I dont know if they are meant to be like that when on the Bridgeheads mod it says for it to unzip the folder

You need an application called 7Zip to unzip 7Z files

Cool tip, I was always annoyed by the way it looked before

I tend to use the zero height bridge mod to build low bridges, and the game will let you build a road/railway under that bridge at 8m below the bridge level which is the lowest the game will allow anyway. (Strangely, it will allow a road 8m under an existing bridge, or a bridge 12m over an existing road). steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2030394734
