Thank you Tony ✨ And thank you Barry Harris ✨
You are a treasure, words can't describe how thankful I am for these videos, the midi strip will be a big improvement and will help us a lot! Keep going magic hands! 🔥🔥🔥
You are a terrific teacher. Not ridged but kinna care free it's like sitting next to you in a natural way. Pleasing
Lots of gems; this is right in the pocket with my piano jazz journey. Thank you!
Terrific stuff. Wrapping my head around the diminished scale and when and where to use it has really opened everything up with my jazz learning. Using block and drop 2 chords to mix things up has really enriched my playing. Another great lesson from the maestro.
Thank you Tony. Love the tips and all that I learn from your videos.
Wonderful, Tony! Thank you.
Great as always!
Big grazie from Italy!
Thank you Tony 👍
Super lesson. Thanks a lot!
Loved this❤
Great tip on dominant chord , they always stumped me and chord transitions ,will apply this to other standards thank you for the clarity sir !
Thanks for showing the details of the chords on the scale degrees!
Thank you Maestro
Good stuff Tony! You helped me lock in those Berkley college major and minor voicings in your previous videos. You are very instrumental and helpful
Thank you! Very nice
Brilliant lesson as usual ..
Loving these. Thanks
Love it
Hi Toni! This was very very helpful for me. Thank you for this video!
Good vibes Tony! You're teaching us a lot of cool stuff, thanks.
Thankyou Sir !. This really Helps a jazz enthusiast like me :D. Keep up the Work!
amazing videos!!. I dont know whether to be inspired to WORK on these techniques, or sit in the corner and cry because it seems unattainable! OK I will work on it. I'll be back! : )
Fly me to the moon is my favorite piece and I'm still struggling to understand how to make those chords... though I've bee playing classical piano for long... Anyway just wanted to say I really enjoy your lessons here ❤ thank you so much 😊
Concentrated knowledge, thanks a lot Master Tony!! (Next time, try to use the shadows trick for the played notes it will do midi's work)
Thank you so much for this interesting lesson. Im practice, accordingvto my experience, there are rarely block chords that do really sound false, to an average audience at least. In fly me to the moon, one can use only white keys, for example, although the diminshed chords sound a little better, of course.
Whenever I find great teachers I always tell them. As a teenager I wanted to learn jazz piano the only problem is living with somebody that hated jazz. It was either classical or nothing. And nothing it was LOL
😂😂😂love you much
Just a lil thing, the dominant could be a lil easier if you do the minor 6th scale on the fifth, and then treat it like a normal one block chord scale (so eg for G7, youd alternate a D-6 and a Edim, and it works because the D-6 is just a rootless G9 chord)

I'll try that!
👍
The Shearing touch was what I was missing. Sometimes the diminished thing gets too repetitive for my tastes.

There are also some chromatic approaches that I know you know!
If you know this stuff don’t comment. To make yourself look good.
