What's even more sad is most of the killers are Hmong killing Hmong. Yet, Hmong Americans already forgotten and each year, tens of thousands go back to Laos to marry and bring entire Hmong Lao families to the US.

Your mother in law was very brave. I have been through same thing like this story back in the old days. I lost one brother in the war. It was so scary. I can still remember all the tragedies we went through.

I was raised in Fresno since 10. I don't remember much about Laos or Thailand. Thank God for my parents for taking my family thru the jungles safely to Thailand. My dad passed long ago my mom still with us. We are lucky to still have her around. Not many old timers are left now from my Yang clan only few left spread across the US. Thank you May for telling stories like this to remind us how lucky we are for our parent's sufferings.
