Thank you for sharing your story with us. You are absolutely right. However, a lot of Hmong women can’t live life without a man. They rather be miserable and unhappy with someone than alone. It’s not easy for women to walk out of a relationship because they’ve invested so much time and money. They’ve sacrificed everything for their man and most women are controlled by their spouses. They can’t divorce them because they’re afraid of being shunned by their relatives. However, toxic relationships aren’t healthy and two people shouldn’t be together if the love & trust are gone. I’ve been single for 8 years and I love my independence and freedom. I can do anything and go anywhere I want. I love my life! I love being a free bird, no longer caged.
