@@nicolasgregory7207 I said the same thing when that set got released, it really surprised me they added $25 to the retail but less product while they were both still being manufactured. Turtles in Disguise is such a good deal compared to all other NECA TMNT products, in my opinion.

I recently got a MISB for around 257 dollars, I guess it depends on the market situation.

i was a little late to the line, so i was very happy when this set came out. getting all 4 turtles in one box with their weapons and making the disguises removeable was great of NECA.

Yes! It’s a great option, just missing some angry faces that have their teeth showing.

I think this one is way more buck bangin’ than the style guide set. But each have their place if you’re just getting into the line. NECA being able to bust the licensing wide open has really been a blessing…and a curse to turtle fans haha!

I have the original dark colored turtles that came in the two-packs with Shredder, Krang, or the Foot Soldiers. Definitely prefer the darker color over the brighter ones. And they’re just fantastic figures. Only big difference is they only have an angry expression and the bandanas have no articulation. Sadly I had missed out on the Disguise pack because I really want the happy expressions, so maybe some day they might re-release this set or come up with an expression pack, but who knows? Anyway, fantastic figures. With the Turtles and Back to the Future Neca has become one of my favourite brands for action figures. There’s just no beating them! As for favourite Turtle, it’s Donnie.

Donnie is a great choice! Does the finish seem more matte on your turtles? If not, then you’re right one with an “expression pack”. Would be genius

These are my only toon turtles and I think this is definitely the place to start and/or stop if you don’t wanna go crazy with figures

@@NostalgiaUnboxed basically this set has never been sold outside USA, so after few months neca decided to put a 10 days preorder on the Neca store for everyone. After 1 year someone started to get some but many of us got an email saying that our batch got damaged on the cargo, so they gave us 2 options, refund or wait 6 months longer….

I found one of these in my local target about 7 or 8 months ago. I almost picked it up but passed on it assuming I would see it again the next week as our target seems to have the same handful of figures every week. It was gone when we went back and I've been kicking my self about it. I was meh on it because I thought it was just them in disguise. I then found out that NOPE they are the normal turtles underneath and dang I missed out. Oh well, like you said I'll find one eventually. Thanks for the review! Cheers!

Heckin yeah! This set really is gnarly. I came into the line when this set was the new hotness and it really sold me on the line. So much stuff in the box and the disguises are easy enough to take off that they’re basically optional accessories. Only thing I’m iffy on is the glossy finish and subsequent matte rerelease. If they ever put extra heads in an accessory pack they’re only gonna match up with half of folks collections😢 On a positive note, this sets value really holds up today after the release of the $150 bright set with half as many accessories. $25 less with twice the stuff. “Where’s the beef?” It’s in the Turtles in Disguise set.

Yeah, a good accessory kit would be great, but wouldn’t help most folks and would possibly make for some confused purchases. I would cal these semi-gloss and close to matte. But I do like the original ones most

Just confusing overall. Woulda been nice to have just been matte from the jump. The glossy ones kinda stand out on the shelf. First world problems…

I agree, that's basicly a great pack did there. The turtles look great, we have many accessories, but the jackets can't be fixed that much sadly. BTW, i never figured we could put off the bandanas !

I think the jackets would be great if they had wires in them to pose some action shots, but I’m fine without any of the clothing.

They're definitely different from the OG two packs. I mentioned before that I was able to remove the head from the Leo that came with Shredder and today I was trying to get the disguise on him and it just didn't look right. Not only does he not have that hip swivel shown at 18:20, but also I'm pretty sure Leo's katana holsters are thicker on the two pack version.

My wife got it off the Neca site for me when it went up for preorder. I remember when Bebop and Rocksteady came out I said I was done with the line and had all I needed. Lol I can’t pass up a release ever. Those goofy crooked ninja turtles was an easy pass… at first. Now I have 3 of them. 😂

I totally agree with you about the shading! Also, double check those thighs. There’s a nice thigh swivel in there and it may just be tight. I’ve got some pics on my IG of them doing all sorts of high kicks and side kicks. 😎

I really liked this set but I had to sell it recently. I didnt have room for another tmnt line and I rather someone who collects this line have it. It would have just sat unopened on a shelf since I don't have any of the neca tmnt figures. (It was an impulse buy when it came out).

Hi, new to collecting TMNT figures. I've seen the Turtles in Disguise for sale for a decent price but can't tell if it is fake or not. It looks virtually identical, but the fold out with the sewer pizza monster is flipped. Sewer on the outside of the fold out, and the ooze in the top right corner closest to the turtles/seam. Is it still a legit set, or would it be a fake if it isn't identical to the one in the video?

The first packs released of these Turtles in Disguise all were very glossy. Mine aren't, but some of the hands are. I wonder if there's a way to get rid of the glossy look

I missed out on all these great TMNT Neca figs when they released and just can't pull the trigger on paying the secondary market prices these ppl are asking. I only want ONE set of Turtles from Neca be it the 1990 film figs or the darker green figs from the 80s cartoon. As of the writing of this comment it does seem like this set is the most bang for your buck as I saw a few listing that weren't totally unreasonable considering all of the stuff you get. I may need to pull the trigger on this one very soon.

I respect yur opinion about the dark-green coloration for it seems to be the common choice, but i personally favor the light-green set. They just emanate a more animated tone IMHO. Most of the Toon Line figs are very bright & colorful so i believe it's a perfect blend. Plus... the 80s show lightened their coloration appearance from season to season. To each their own my friend. ✌️😎✌️

@@NostalgiaUnboxed i completely agree with you, dude. A lil lighting effects can also change the shade appearance a bit for photography. I like to make my light-green figs look abit darker in my photos and most times I'm satisfied. I also completely conquer with you about the TiD having more "bang-for-the-buck" compared to the Haulothon set. NECA shenanigans at work lol. I'm sure they will eventually find the perfect color & shade after already releasing a hundred sets and forcing us to buy them 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. The Ultimate Turtles are testament to their prerogative of dark-green tone being the main color-of-choice but i just don't think it's quite right. However, knowing them they will probly release a hundred more 4-Pack sets of varying colors & shades just to keep us up-grading lol. C'mon NECA, get it right already! 😅

Yeah, it’s a little hard to tell when they are matte. Like, these clearly have some sort of matte finish when compared to the one hand I got that is gloss. Matte is definitely best and I’m pretty sure the one you speak of is even more matte, right?

They will be releasing these turtles in “ultimate” form. You’ll buy each turtle individually but with some extra goodies. Target exclusives for this toon line though. This set from the review is harder to find and really just available aftermarket

It has two

I got the set but I'm upset at the quality control from Neca. One extra hand came with all these black spots on them. White spot on one of the extra heads. Can't even return because it was bought aftermarket and good luck ever getting Neca spare replacement parts or anything. Overall I do love the darker turtle design and the set. May just have to see if the ultimates are worth it (if we get lucky enough to find them in stores).
