The whole in the females shell is likely from being hung up in a market. They drill a whole in turtles shells and hang them up in markets in other countries. That turtle is probably a rescue.

We had one of our turtles for 8 years, and the 2nd for 5 years. Love these dude lol.

It's actually quite normal and they have special package requirements they arrive between 12-24 hours and they have heat packs so they are fine packaging rarely goes wrong

So adorable! Just order mine today. It’s the eastern mud turtle. Will be the hatchlings size though.

I love all turtels...I have a 1st yr Northern colored painted. & I have a 3yr bby snapper when I caught hit he closed is e.y.e.s ...so I said i can train him.& im all ready hand feeding him ...love em their like dogs 🐕

I used to keep these as a kid, they are excellent escape artists so beware, funnily enough iv been thinking about getting another pair 20 yrs later, so much more personality that maps or red ears in my opinion.

@@joshjenkinson6050 ever think about adding more places to hide? Silk aquatic plants? For enrichment you can give them floating treats they have to chase or ping pong balls 😁

The stink pot seems like perfect turtle for my sister who wants a small breed turtle, I will have to show her this

I work at UPS (in the warehouse) and we have these kinds of boxes come through sometimes. I'm glad to see the turtle was packed safely, but I'm still horrified at how the boxes are treated and I wouldn't be surprised if half of these turtles show up dead. I wouldn't ever recommend having animals shipped. We are NOT trained to handle live animals or fragile boxes differently from regular boxes.

Zachary if you’ve seen any of her other unboxing videos, you’d know she has never received an animal that was hurt from shipping (at least not that she’s told us, and she’s made many many unboxing reptile videos). I think they’re fine.

I came here to say this too, export of any live animal boxed up in containers is cruelty!

Great video. I had a pair of razor-back musk turtles living in our man made backyard pond. The female unfortunately died recently. The other day I saw a baby crawling in the grass (photo by request). It appears they must have mated before her unfortunate passing. So a happy ending!

I have a musk turtle. She is 6 years old and called Pikachu. I named her this because she is really fast. Surprisingly, she lives with Oscars and learnt their habits. My dad got Pikachu in a small plastic box. This has to bee one of my favourite videos. Btw, we tried feeding her life fish, I mean, the Oscars ate them but Pikachu wouldn't harm a fly.

Aaron Burr, sir yes their are air holes on the plastic container but the box is closed!! There are no holes on the outside of the box

KelbyAnne Usually with box turtles the males have red eyes and the females have brown.

Also, from what I’ve seen on these videos, the male’s tail is thicker and longer tail, along with long claws (the remind me of bear claws), whereas the female’s tail and claws are a lot shorter and smaller
