Hmm well that’s never happened to me but it could be your controller that has a faulty headphone jack because this headset is made for both game audio and party chat

Po I’ve had them before and they lasted me a year but it was my fault because I left the aux on the floor and my relatives stepped on it but so far the new pair I ordered have been great the sound quality is amazing considering how cheap they are. Even my friends in the party chat noticed I got a new mic they said my voice sounds crystal clear, they compared it to the iPhone FaceTime audio which is pretty dam clear if you’ve ever used it. Ofc it’s plastic so you have to be extra careful with them but they’re great because they’re lighter than more expensive headsets but its more comfortable to play for longer periods. Noise cancellation isn’t the best when quiet but with the game and party chat you really can’t hear any outside noise. Overall I think they’re great for the price the only thing I find annoying is that the microphone is huge, it feels like I’m working at a fast food drive thru 😂

the audio quality is great and the microphone is phenomenal, my only complain is that there isnt enough padding on the head band and it can hurt after long gaming sessions

Insane how that pretty cheap headset has a better sound quality than your microphone used 4 this review. Thanks for sharing.

So I’ve had this headset for 6 years and use it heavily and never had an issue with them. Only thing I had to replace was the detachable Mic because I was eating a bowl of cereal with the headset on my head and the whole Mic got submerged in milk 🤣. (Amazon replacement detachable mic) But other than that, these are phenomenal, especially for the price. When spectating friends in Call of Duty who have Astro A50’s and other very expensive headsets, I help them with callouts/locations of footsteps and they say they couldn’t even hear the footsteps! So these have GREAT audio for COD and Rainbow Six Siege. One other flaw is that the fake leather begins to peel around around the earmuffs on the top cushion that sits on your head. 6 years going strong.

I recently came into an issue last week with my Mic cutting in-and-out and couldn’t figure out the issue. I thought they finally broke and gave up on me but it was actually the controller mic port! WILD. Never bought any other gaming headphones because these do JUSTICE and why buy something more expensive if the cheaper version is just as good!

Also, it’s VERY important to adjust audio settings on the headset chat mixer in your Xbox One settings when switching to different games to optimize the best audio settings for you or buy the turtle beach Audio mixer attachment

I have this headset. Totally worth every penny. So far, it's lasted over a year & it still works, although I have to maneuver it a bit to get audio from both sides. I'm honestly surprised it lasted this long. Planning on getting a new one cuz I LOVE THIS GAMING HEADSET SOO MUCH (Also cuz my current one is on its last legs when it comes to usefulness). Might get 2 of these instead of just 1 so that I'll have 1 for my Xbox One controller & the other for my phone.

I also own the headset and bought it for €15 from us in Media Markt (Elektro Markt in Germany). I previously had Teufel headsets and other headphones that cost over €100. The microphone on the Turtle Beach sounds better than most I've had, audio quality is good, maybe a little bass, but what can you expect for the money. I would recommend it at any time

Don’t know if I should get this one or the Nunbwo N7. I have a 30% discount for the N7 and in total it’ll be 27$. Or should I get these?

I just need some cheap ones for cod zombies, guess these will do for now

Used a pair for ~4 years and one of the ears kind of just fell off. The inner part for adjustment snapped and couldn't really use them anymore.

this is a good mic for anyone wondering but the price was still expensive due to delivery and taxes. I was forced to buy another one because cod MW made me think that my old recon 50x wasn't working anymore but they actually still work and idk if I should sell or get a refund but turtle beach make it difficult!

i got it 2017 christmas and they still good

this thing lasted me 3 years, incredibly comfortable, very good mic and sound quality and survived multiple drops. cost me £15.

Can you use it on the Xbox 360 if you get the 2.5mm adapter

The headset is now 17€ on Amazon and the mic sounds really good it all so has 5.1 sorund sound witch is insane for 17€

No it doesn't. It's stereo only (natively). If you have a mixamp or use 3D audio on console you can simulate surround sound, but this headset 100% is not 5.1.

Windows has settings for limiting the microphone volume without affecting headphone volume. Though reducing headphone volume wouldn’t have solved the issue.

Yes. If it has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, the most common wired headphone connection, it will work. They released a version for the Nintendo switch as well, but it is a recolour only.

Check your audio settings in your Xbox make sure the output is set to headset. And check the mic monitoring level it seems to make the little ring/static noise worse the higher the mic monitoring is up. It's usually set to half by default. You should notice a difference. I know it made a difference for me hope it helps!

Had these for a year now. After a while you get tired of having the lesser of headphones compared to your friends or team. Especially in COD the highs are way too loud and overpower anything else. In conclusion, fuck it.
