Being right-handed, I have exactly the same problems. My left hand is certainly not as fast on the crossfader as I'd like it be but I've found the best way to build speed is do the technique over and over again, starting at a comfortable speed and gradually increasing it so that is always challenges you. Your wrists and hands may ache to start with but any muscle will become stronger if it is pushed. And with strength, comes speed. Like any exercise, don't forget to allow time to rest.
13 years later and these tutorials are still some of the best on this website. I only started scratching 3 weeks ago and I already feel confident + I’m right handed as well! God send 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Great video
By connecting your mixer to your computer's sound card. Usually this is done with a phono to mini-jack cable. Attach the phono end to the line-out of your mixer and the mini-jack end into the line-in of your soundcard. You'll then need some software to record the audio, such as Sound Forge or Audacity
For the people having problems with the transformer scratch. Orginally, I found it easier to do the transformer scratch just by, kind of forgetting about the right hand at first and letting the sound play, just focussing on the cutting with the left hand... Then eventually, (slowly) bringing in the right hand to further cut the scratch. Hope this helps...

youre a great mentor !! seriously. shouts outs from berlin!
thanks dj angelo, best way to learn for me:Your tutorial first and q berts ones after,in this one the "pop" on each sound is reeally important!
good to see someone actually taking the time to break it down in an understandable and digestible format. nice one. 99% of the other videos out there are garbage.
Man you are AWESOME!!! You break down this complex art form into easy to understand (and do) tutorials. Dude, I bow to you! Keep em coming! I am a brand new DJ just starting out with no experience whatsoever. You have turned me into a pretty decent DJ already with just a few of your tutorials. I can't wait to take it to the next level. Thank You DJ ANGELO!!!!
Legend! I've just started playing on my decks again (after years of Hard Dance) and thought I'd give scratching a go. Your tutorials are clear, concise and the pacing of each one is like a logical progression from the last. Awesome mate. To big thumbs up and keep'em coming Cheers!
Respect all beats. Techno, dope. Real rap/RnB, dope. Diss the technique not the music.
thanks so much for these tutorials :) been learning alot in a small time
Keep hitting us with these AMAZING tutorials DJ Angelo. Your explanations through step-by-step, in-depth information is second to none, and your video's editing is really top-notch!

DJAngelo your tutorials are the best I've found on youtube so far... so easy to understand! Really well explained and the camera angle helps a lot too. Thanks heaps... really appreciate it!! Gonna go practice my transformer now!
J'arrive 10 ans plus tard et ce tuto est toujours le meilleur sur youtube! Thanks Dj Angelo !!! ; )

My man never gets old
good tutorial again! thx for ur work with the fitting visualizations of the pattern moves. with this video it makes more sense to me scratching with the mixer (than with the last tutorial nr 6) thx again cheers uspec
Thank you so much for creating these tutorials! They are really helpful!
Yes mate, these tutorials are so good and easy to follow best on the net imo, each one follows on perfectly from the last and what I e done is give myself a week with each one so that technique sticks before I move on to the next, doing each technique in its own is starting to feel kinda easy but stringing multiple techniques together is what I'm struggling with, Ive found that mastering all of them along to the same beat on their own and then stringing them all together in a routine over that same beat has made it easier for me to combine them together, supper dope DJ though deff one of our best from UK!
DUDE!!!! You are soooo good. I just got through this lesson after a month of practice. Moving on to lesson 7 next week. Thank you so much .
DJ appreciate more this class at least to me ... It helps a lot! Someday I'll get good at it! DJ Hug!
I love your tutorials man i use the fader with my left hand and cut best with my right. Not alot of vids out there that showcase this way. thanks!
rockin... tut... i was confused by other ppls vids.. you totally made it clear... I am heded home to practice right now! keep it up!
Great tutorials Thanks DJ Mikey Mike
You know i'm french, i'm pretty good in english (at school^^) but still i don't understand more than 70% of what englishes/amercicans/etc say when they speak normally But with your explanations I understand everything because you speal distincly and use simple words which is great. More than that you describe those scratch technics with precision and I didn't find any better tutorial than yours You won't probably ever read this but it's my way to thank you :D if i didn't make too many mistakes
Man i wish i had a hold of these tutorials long ago. Thanx for the help. You are truly a great dude.
Yo Dj Angelo! Big shout out from Dallas Tx! I've had my numark ns7fx since January and I just started watching ur tutorial Videos this week. And I've had more progression in my djing in this week then I've had in 5 months bro! Keep the vids Coming man! Thanks so much!

Another top draw video, your explanations are simple and easy to follow. Keep up the good work
I've used them before and have no complaints
Very good tutorial just like always!!! Nice work man!
cool! the visual fx are a nice touch
My personal favourite scratch move. Not just because it has the same name as my favourite 80's cartoon, it's because it is one of the few more advanced scratch moves I am actually quite good at!
Dude! You helped me a lot than my tutor. Amazing! Thanks dude :)
great video again! Looking forward to a video on the flare (which I'm hoping is coming next!)
Ive been djing for about a year now but i like to see other peoples take on it and its very helpful
i love putting on an angelo video and putting down some practice scratches. 20 mins a day has changed my skill level from zero to ... well, not hero yet, but getting there someday!
excellent tutorial angelo
Your a tremulous teacher. I started djing in March mostly EDM (breakbeats). I want to learn all facets of djing. Your tutorials are great. I'm only on this lesson. But I will do them all. probably a few times. Big props for putting all this online for free. I don't own turntables I have an ns7 and so far I was able to do all of it. Not sure if I am going to run into problems with out having real decks and a mixer. I would not try to learn scratching on a regular stationary jog wheel controller.
very nice tutorial.probably the best scratch tutorial on youtube
dope tutorial angelo hope the knew tutorial comes soon!
thank you so much for doing the different patterns and the diff. ways they can be performed. i have been looking for videos that show more patterns or rhythms . cuz i have learned the scratches but am stuck repeating the same patterns. please do more vids showing patterns . thank u

You Rock You Rock !!You Rock You Rock !!You Rock You Rock !!You Rock You Rock !!
Thankssssss!
thank you very much
Thank you bruh!
thank you again
I knew it was 12yr old video from the intro 🤣 all the DJs had drops like that back then. Thx for videos DJ Angelo I'm just starting out and its helped out alot. I can do all the scratches now but putting them into a combo or song is where I'm stuck. Right now I just sound generic
Hey good tutorial as always. Long time Dj, No time Scratch Dj.. lol. I actually started Djing like most because of the coolness of scratching. I never got a chance to pursue it as much as I really wanted to, because it wasn't prudent in making money in my line of Djing. I really wanted to learn how to transition hip hop songs with scratching. If you have any tutorials of that I would love to see them. Thanks Ck the Dj
First, thank you Dj Angelo, your videos are very helpful!! And second, I'm french, and I did'nt understand what type of record i need to use to have this type of sound when I transform...
a track ages ago had a line that was "aaahhh its so freshhh" in a weird alien way. it then became the typical scratch sound and can be found (as stated at he beginning) in pretty much every scratch record.
como sempre sou seu fã
Transforming can be done with transformer switches, but the crossfader is much more versatile for scratching, particularly for more advanced techniques like the Crab, which can't be performed on transformer switches.
Nice One
Ya good pal 👍
welcome bak :) great clear tutorial tks
I shall be a great dj applying those techniques
really nice
uuuffffffff crazy transition 06:52
very good tutorial(s) and good description - move on brother
Vídeo Aula muito BomAjuda Bastante
As a scratch DJ, you are a musician and should "compliment" the music you scratch along to. It's good to practice using different beats as this will teach you how to adapt your style. Of course, some types of music may be better suited to the sound of scratching than others, but it's always the DJ's job to select the music...
Ouais mais c'est quand même galère un peu ^^ Big up to DJ angelo for these great tutorials, keep cuttin' ! Peace!
good stuff Angelo am one of your students from Nairobi Kenya
Like, Favorite, Subscribe I've been dj'ing as a hobby for years now but I've never really been interested in any sort of instruction. Well, your videos have made a believer out of me. Although the first 6 vids are mostly review for me I still learned a couple things. I'm pretty old school so the transformer is about as far as I've gone with scratching. Your vid shows an even more efficient way of doing it. Great job! Can't wait to see part 8! Respect, from West L.A.
dude...the scratching over Dead Prez was sick lol, i like scratching to that beat too
ok I totally get this , just my thumb causing some problems on the cross fader
NJOY DIS VIDEO APPRECIATED THE LISTEN
Good staff
Nice
You know how I realized you're a good teacher? It's because I watched your vids a couple of weeks back and I was literally afraid (i.e like a schoolkid) to look at advanced vids because I haven't explored what you showed before..
