Thanks Alex, a very insightful and honest video. I agree with so much, having undergone a similar journey (bit more fresh than you I think though). In many ways I knew and accepted those questions but still can't always be fully prepared for the impact! I think the hardest for me has been trying to maintain a balance with - as you said in another comment - working task vs joy tasks. I also fluctuate with how motivated I am, still working that one out. Tell me when you get there how to do it! 😉

Yeah, it's tougher than you expect - even when you do expect it! I'll keep you posted if I ever get that figured out 😅😅

You're so wise, I loved this video Alex, thank you so much for being so honest. I turned another hobby into a career and it really burnt me out, unfortunately, so it stresses me only to think about doing the same thing again even though I'm sure this time it would be different.

Sorry to hear that. I definitely feel it is not for the faint of heart and I try as hard as I can to keep a balance between money-earning tasks and joy-tasks.

Thanks for answering my question Alex :) This is a really interesting and food for thought video. You mentioned a lot of things that I'm sure most people -including myself- don't think about until it's too late. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

You're welcome, I was inspired by the topic, because I hadn't thought so much about it before and then realised that yes there was a big shift when I "went pro" and perhaps people would like to hear about that. It's not my usual fodder for this channel, though I did want to occasionally make videos about the "business side" of what I do. Back to the usual nature journaling videos next week 😁

Hi Alex, you are so talented and a wonderful teacher. Great that you play piano, too! I just want to say I sometimes don't want to write a comment, because I don't want to take you away from nature journaling for a second. Of course, you never need to reply to each comment. :) I think that duck you painted in the journal in your background is so beautiful. It looks like a green winged teal. We have those in the U.S., as well. Nocturnal nature journaling could be fun, too. 🦉🌛🌠

Thank you! You are always welcome to comment here and I try to reply to comments when I get some time, it's a nice relaxing task 😊 I am such an early bird, I think I'll leave nocturnal nature journaling to the night owls!
