Turning Wood Shavings & Dust in Epoxy Resin

Welcome to today's woodturning project! In this video I am making a box out of wood shavings and dust, that I collected over the time. I finished the project with lacquer.

    very cool how adding wood shavings to the resin changes the way it acts. and you could get different results using different types of wood shavings too. i love it

    I like how the specks of sawdust look like stars. Makes me think of the recent JWST pictures.

    Thanks, I enjoyed the lesson. I can't harvest bowl blanks from my wheelchair. Buying bowl blanks is expensive. I'm going to try this asap. Thanks again. Robert

    That came out pretty cool. I like the color differences but why were there so many cavities in the resin.

    I really like the colours you used and how they blended together, the idea of using wood shavings was brilliant. The texture looks great and I like thefinished item of a pot with a lid it's cool and a love how it shines well done another great video. Amanda from Scotland

    Thank you for sharing! What did you use to seal everything at the end? I was thinking it might be lacquer. But I'm not sure.

    I’m sure you’ve thought of this but it might be interesting to reuse the shavings from this jar, into another jar and so on. Not obsessively so but a body might wonder. Maybe just this body. I’m just saying......
