Hi Bino, thanks for showing your climb with Hitch Climber Chicane Combo, you inspired me to try it out, really love it, l found it to be more flexible and rugged than using Zigzag, more forgiving when you accidentally swing hitch into a limb ( cringe moment with Zigzag ) l still love Zigzag in both SRS or MRS , but one has always to be super aware of those LINKS, thanks again Bino for broadening my horizons and your followers of course, with your no nonsense approach and your enlightening techniques !!!

Great video, Bino!. Excellent demonstration of a backup system to use in case the ZigZag is damaged or unavailable. One downside to using the Chicane is the difficulty in getting a carabiner into the bottom becket. I know that Petzl requires the use of either the Am'D or the OK Carabiners, but they're still a bitch to install. Overall, great job!

Watched a guy do load test on all the parts in the srt and drt. In the srt system all the weight and friction is put onto the prusik which causes it to heat up and lock. The rope 🔧 or chicane takes up some of that weight that the drt system has from the two lines plus the friction around the anchor. Didnt know you could use chicane like that. thanks👍

No I've been in tree care since I was 19 and in tree care for more than 30 years. Tree Climber Specialist is through the International Society of Arboriculture. www.isa-arbor.com/ It is a knowledge test and a practical climb if you pass you earn there certification. My knowledge is in the field and self study of Arboriculture text books and study guides.
