It's amazing how many vloggers fall for the foxholes at Foy. I have watched many videos of Jack's Wood (Bois Jacques) it seems all are all over the place. So many seemed to have been fooled by local "experts". They are all sure the woods were there in 1945. We know forests are regularly harvested in Germany, Belgium, and Luxemburg. These experts were not around during the Bulge. And if you can't find arial views from 1944-45 I sure they didn't either. Keep up the great work. Thank you for making these videos.

A lot also known that it's BS, but they simply don't really care to tell it.

The sad thing is the actual history is so interesting that the fake story can’t come close.

The forest at Foy isn't worth the time or money, the tanks are just smart business and really speaks of the time of the 50s and 60s when people were real go getters. You have to give them credit because without these people we would not have these tanks today.

I've been there in the forest. we actually visited the museum and this was just included with our ticket. I must say the forest was really disappointed tbh.

Don't think that's an option anymore, if you look at the ticket options, they have a normal ticket and a Ticket with access to the forest which is 22 euro.

Wow, I live in Luxembourg and been there at least 20 times before. 22 times is insane for some fake foxholes. About the tiger, I found some information about it in a book about peiper. Don't get why these fake stories are made up. The reality is way more fascinating

Thank you so much for this informative video. We just came back from Normandy. It was our first time to see the famous sites. Before watching this video or your other video I already knew some of the places were manipulated for tourists. For me I wanted to just see the beaches and the equipment/bunkers that are freely available as I know these would be the real objects. Honestly I went and saw everything I wanted. I would have been a little upset to have been somewhere only to find out the opposite reality to my original thoughts. I think it’s best to say if you see something take it as what you see but don’t expect the total back story is true. Many thanks

I've been very interested in WWII for almost 40 years and I take pictures AND enjoy the moment. I don't see a problem with taking pictures. I did that in Normandy 1994 with a regular camera and I do it now with my smart phone. I have visited the tanks in Manhay and the one in La Gleize. Where can I read the actual stories, if the ones presented aren't true? Also, isn't the story of the Houffalize Panther true either, then?

Taking pictures isn't a problem, taking pictures for the soul reason of Cloud, with your ass sticking out on top of monuments, or making other stupid poses at cemeteries or Holocaust memorials isn't ok. And that's precisely what's happening now they act like they are taking pictures of the Grand canyon, when they have no respect for the area in general. To answer your question you can find pretty much all the tank stories on this channel.

@@svenostlinger2922 it's just deplorable, some 15 years ok you could walk onto the field in Colleville-sur-Mer to walk between the graves, now in the high season they line of the grass, to avoid people from going on to the grass because they were probably doing all sorts of disrespectful nonsense on there phones.

I think that Normandy is doing tourisme in a respectful way, the Ardennes they are doing it the disrespectful money grabbing way.

it's sad how some of these areas are being tourist traps. but they need to generate money anyway they can. some of these areas are very remote. no jobs or income other than tourists visiting. buying food, tickets, etc. although i don't agree with your final comments about taking pictures. you just make yourself sound arrogant and bitter. most people travel from around the world to step foot on those beaches and forests. ofcourse they will want a picture. to share with their family. don't hate them for being happy and enjoying their life, when you say that, you sound sad miserable old man yelling at the kids playing

These places are actually far from remote,, only takes 2 hours to drive through Belgium and you will be in French or the Netherlands, the Region is also one of the biggest industrial areas in the region. And no I absolutely don't find it ok, to climb on monuments for fallen soldiers, or taking pictures with your ass sticking out at American cemeteries or Holocaust memorials, it just not ok to take certain pictures like it's a playground. With me having morals and decent standards to act respectful at these places doesn't make me a old man yelling about his grass. Sorry but that makes you look like a tool.

​@@PanzerPicture I appreciate the length of time and effort you took to show us the difference between actual areas of battle between German and American troops and made up places in a forest as a tourist trap. The placement of captured or battle-damaged tanks in a town or village doesn't necessarily mean that any action took place there just as the foxholes dug by someone in the forest doesn't mean that they're positions of American soldiers. History is too important to let people make changes in historical areas so that they can make an easy buck or two. And as for allowing people to climb up onto monuments to get a selfie or photo op or to treat any battlefield with any disrespect is unconscionable. Thanks again for your insightful and informative comments as well as keeping history alive in your videos.
