If you're not a luck box, you'll have to manage your emotions, and expectations. Hard work will not necessarily provide the success you desire. A skillful player can run below EV for a lifetime. It may sound extreme, but it's cold hard facts. No player is more, or less deserving than another at the table. It's just cards, and math. Sometimes, you hit your wheel on the turn with garbage, cracking Aces (we often forget about those moments), and other times your nut straight is destroyed on the river by the flush, or a set improving to a full house. We chase, we burn, we plead, but none of these will change your results.

got 22nd in event 3, lost two flips is a row to end it. I couldn't fade the A in a flip all in pre vs a shorter stack, then as the short stack lost all in pre 66 vs A10.. GG me
