Who cares what he is making, and its relative utility according to you? The important questions are: Where did the tools come from? Why does he have access to them? How he became so proficient in their use is pretty obvious - not wasting time playing PS5. The materials are not *worthless* scrap in most places, but could be often be obtained for low cost if there is a known repository and a discerning eye.
