I have an acrylic, negative pressure box around my lathe. It grabs all the dust from wood, and I am protected from anything that flies off.

Thanks, total boat is a really great product. It’s definitely worth the money. I’ve used some other resins in the past but this resin is a different type of quality when you’re turning it. Excellent product.
Bowl turned out nice bud! Definitely agree total boat is top notch epoxy!

It’s really good stuff to work with. Really happy the way it turns on the lathe.
Looks like a honey color, which compliments the shavings quite well. A powder pigment might work better for a richer color but, I loving the honey tones. Skill are improving all the time. I use epoxy resin too but never tried total boat yet.

Thanks. I have some resin powder pigment that I may try on my next project. Total Boat so far is my favorite resin, but the pressure pot may also be a contributing factor since the resin doesn’t have any bubbles in it.
Maybe put the dye in first and let the sawdust soak it in for a while. Then add the epoxy resin and see how it turns out.

Its not rubbery once the resin cures, its like a rock and solid.

I use a brand of resin called East Coast Resin, you should be able to buy it from Amazon and it’s relatively cheaper compared to some other resins. It’s a very good product for the price.
