Just got my "Turning Points" 3/8's healed in for fall planting. I plan for long lived standard trees, crabs for pollination, eating, and deer along with very old disease resistant varieties for the long run. We once had apple trees 30' tall and 100 years old, now they are gone but hopefully my progeny will realize the history and appreciate these grand old trees.
