I guess no one can tell the original suit of the fixed black Spider-Man is red as the red suit is perfectly covered by the black painting. The photos of the two Spider-Men are iconic and the photos of Spider-Man and Venom are innovative!

What a great and fresh idea to pair up Spider-Man and Venom to take photos. The photos will inspire movie producers to arrange them to share the screen in the future movies.

Wow! There are six layers of paint on the figure but it doesn't look thick with paint and the webbings are still very noticeable. 👍

I like this custom you did for Black Suit Spider-Man and the spider-logos on front and back painted in gunmetal silver, kinda reminds me of Spider-Man Friend or Foe where it's Black Suit is literally just the Red and Blue suit, but painted in Black. if you want to remove paint just use alchool or thinner, alchool will remove the varnish coat they place to protect the paints in in place, thinner will remove everything, dont know if it will eat up the plastic legends use as i never owned one,so i dont know what type they use.

The masked head is seemingly wider than on screen. I've seen a lot of people complaining about that. And a few 3d printers making custom heads for it. Great custom though! Looks awesome! I'll probably be converting my ML Spidey to this version when I get the Figuarts one in.

my only complaint is the logos not being movie accurate cuz theyre more sharp on the symbiote suit in spider-man 3 than the regular raimi suit, the eyes are also slightly more angular in the movie but thats very minor

I was just about to type that. I saw the spider symbol error in the thumbnail. I picked up on the spider symbol being different on the symbiot suit during my time playing the ps2 spiderman 3 game.

I ended up using black synthetic rit dye and using hot water but not boiling and dyed it all black then painted the silver. It alowed me to do all the dynamic poses without paint rub

Regarding the head shape. NWH's Tobey suit changed the mask's jawline webbing. In the first three films the webbing jawline was a bit more symmetrical, where in NWH the webbing jawline is more spread out. Compare photos of the NWH & Trilogy suits, and you'll see the difference.

This figure already has paint on it, but maybe a new figure would be better off being dyed if you are worried about paint rub.

You should try changing the spider symbol to be sharper like in spider man 3 but otherwise great job on the figure keep up the good work

When I did this to my Tobey figure, I went over all the joints with black sharpie. I think that kinda soaks into the plastic. Then I went over the rest with paint, and if the joints rub the paint off, the marker is underneath.

Hey Ken, if you ever want to revisit this guy, you should probably try to strip the paint first. Just get a bottle of 70% Isopropyl alcohol into a tub of plastic and leave the figure swimming there for an hour or two, then brush it off with a toothbrush and all your acrylic paint will just slide off.

Maybe the reason the head looks off is because the frames for the eyes are gunmetal in Spider-man 3, not black

I saw someone do this custom, but instead of painting it they used black synthetic dye. It sticks to the plastic really well and there's no risk of chipping or scratching.

Nail polish remover and or acetone should remove most if not all the previous paint.

Though etra steps, you can dye the figure. I've noticed metallic paints don't seem to stick well. And having layers of painting won't help. It's best to paint the figure, then add all the varnish/sealer after. It'll have a better bond and won't flake or rub as easily.

Personally, I would have taken the figure apart and dip in some Rit Dye and then painted the accents on after.

I don’t like that you missed the emblem, the emblem on the suit changes in Spider-Man 3 and it’s always triggering how other people forget that and keep the emblem the same as the red suit.

The Raimi black suit just looks so bad…. Not your paint job, it looks spot on to the movie, but the movie design is just bad. It’s more of a stealth suit/cloth black suit than it is a symbiote suit
