Really like the looks of this custom. As long as Jakks is going to keep releasing Sonic in every wave, they should start doing game-specific models like this. Adventure 1 & 2, Rush, Riders, etc. That would be really cool.

Ah, so that's what that Chao in the Chao in Space short needed Sonic's nose for... Amazing work, also! This is one of my favorite custom figures I've ever seen.

Honestly i like the proportions more in the past games and figures than the current ones...

While the '06 look is probably my LEAST favorite look, (although the shoes are awesome) that is still one straight BALLIN' custom!! I have one question though; what exactly was the type of black wash you used? Does it come like that, or did you water it down yourself? Also, for reference; it's pronounced "OAK-er". I use it all the time too. =)

So next you can make Shadow from 06? Lol that was of of my favorite models for him. This one looks amazing! I'd buy it in a heart beat if I saw it in stores.

Oh, and more little piece of advice; NOT that you did a bad job, not at all. But you REALLY should think about investing in a precision-tip brush. Miniature-painters use it all the time! It'll make it SO much easier for you! ; )

@@TitoTheOG I was also going to say as well about the 06 development team being split into two, so to make Secret Rings for the Wii, I also heard when Yuji Naka left Sega - or according to him, fired - the 06 team was shrunk down more so. It really did seem like the game didn't really have a chance, thanks to Sega's greed and lack of patience. But thankfully ChaosX is looking to give 06 the treatment it deserves, and proving there was actually something good there, if the original team actually had the time to make the game.

I thought of some custom sonic forms you may wanna do if you want. Hyper sonic Dark sonic Cyper sonic *from sonic frontiers* And maybe even green knuckles *he’s from the comics*

quick tip about black washing with certain prints, t it's better to use a Gundam marker I tried using a wash on a custom Spiderman head but the paint wouldn't stick due to the sheer amount of engraved web lines those shoes likely have the same issue I had

Finally, peak Sonic. Hope you make the files available at the very least, if not selling prints of them.

I would LOVE to see a Secret Rings Model Jakks Sonic, imo it's the best Sonic model and the fact it got reused in Smash Brawl(with modified Textures) Most of the Wii And Wii U Mario and Sonic Games And of course Black Knight, it really shows how that model is the best.

I Really liked this custom, I would love for you to make a toei/junio sonic using one of the classic sonic figures.

One interesting idea that you might try for a custom figure is maybe Mephiles in his base form since Jakks only released his final form. Just for a suggestion.

Imagine if Sonic 06 wasn't rushed. This design would be THE Sonic design, not Modern Sonic. Still can't believe that 06 was meant to be a soft reboot for the franchise.. kickass design, not so much in story.

Do you have any tips for modeling/3D printing? I’m somewhat well versed in programs like Blender I just can’t get my model to work right. I’m currently trying to print pieces for a custom Donkey Kong figure I’m making and I’m using the Smash model so I can have different expressions for his faces. It just feels impossible sometimes
