A Christian who wishes to escape the strict and often uncomfortable demands of serving in the church and being under the leadership of a pastor may not consider the new set of demands they will face when trying to live as their own authority. This authority is only an illusion because they will face the demanding and deceitful nature of the world, which possesses much greater power and wisdom than any individual. The world's demands are much more difficult than the demands of God.
