to help strengthen the rotted areas on the top side try using wood hardener. it penetrates really well and hardens up any loose or soft wood. at least in my experience. I mainly use it on veneer to prevent splintering but couldnt hurt to do a few tests

That honesty and transparency was really nice to see. I don't currently live in a location that allows for this kind of woodworking project, but my goal is to be in my own home in 2025 so hopefully I can begin learning from people like you and I can try out some projects myself when I have space. Keep up the awesome work!

One thing you can do to help protect your art pieces is to place a plastic bad in areas around your piece, then fill the bags with spray foam, and close it up, when the spray foam dries, it fills in the gap areas to keep your piece from moving around and getting damaged.

Nice table and great that you were able to "rescue" the slab from the scape heap. "Cutting after curving" highlights that when making, we need to consider in-full how we intend to construct a piece, reduce construction complexity and avoid potential disasters. Cutting the additional lenght off and gluing it to the other piece before gluing and bending might have saved some angst.
