Okay, all jokes aside, their drawing methods are pretty similar to the way they making music. It is more interesting when you compare this episode and the requiem / sabre dance recreation episodes. Eddy started from building overall structure, organise, and then went into detail. The main idea looks a bit blurred imo, but i think he could make it clearer if he had more time. On the other hand, Brett went straight into expression his main idea. It looks bit chaotic but quite clear. He seemed to draw on a whim, just following the idea in his head. Well done, boys! Both are cool artworks and i want to see them in real, not only through screen. And wanna try to make my own version 😃

Eddy has always come across as the calm, stable personality. When he does things, it's usually with one clear goal and works out one plan towards that goal. A very convergent person. Brett is the more intense personality. Pretty extreme in nature. He doesn't just go with one idea. He usually have a couple of ideas in mind and tries to put all the ideas into one plan and sees how things will turn out. A very divergent person. These two can't be more polar opposites. Yet they are best pals.

@@sam-ly4gn Maybe they meant Vltava (Moldau) because Smetana (another famous Czech composer) composed a piece dedicated to this river. So perhaps their mind went automatically to this river, but i also think they would specify that they were talking about the Moldau and not just any river (since it’s pretty famous). So realistically, i think they just meant any Bohemian river. I think they just thought to themselves that yea, Dvořák lived in Bohemia and Eddy was painting a country side. So therefore just any Bohemian river in a village :)

i love how both paintings just capture their personalities so distinctly. how eddy focuses on how the composer might've felt and how brett focuses on how he felt. how eddy is more realistic and how brett is more abstract. how eddy sticks to softer and somewhat similar colours (blues, greens, yellows), and brett uses a wide array of colours (kinda bolder and more contrasting colours). how eddy's approach is more calm and methodical, and how brett's approach is more direct in a way (im not quite sure how to explain it: it's like he paints directly from his heart yk. he feels that that he should have this colour, and so he does it) my art knowledge is very limited so LOL

What I think about their painting is that they really represent their personalities. Eddy matured into a type of dude who thinks logically therefore his painting seems to be more straightforward (with one artistic motif in mind). On the other hand, Brett's visualization of the piece is actually wider in a sense that he cannot express himself, or the idea in his head, through a still image, in which he needed to continuously change something throughout the painting process. I really love the way they interpreted the New World Symphony through colors and imagery! I want part two! 😍 How about they do an artpiece showing how they would visualize Tchaickovsky's and Sibelius' Violin Concertos? I can't even stop smiling while thinking about it hihihi 😂💗

As an art teacher who has reconnected with classical music during the pandemic, i enjoyed this episode. I really loved how Eddie went for the objective and Brett went into the non objective realm. If Eddie had no formal training or experience with painting, he did an excellent job creating the illusion of depth and keeping his colors in the same key. With a little more training he would've made a great impressionist painter. Brett's painting was exciting to watch evolve, and had he been painting in my classroom I would've been over his shoulder making him pull more from his sub conscious. The red brushstrokes were representative as spiritual totems I was hoping he would've had more time to work on. Brett would definitely be at home among the post war abstract expressionist painters! Would definitely love to see more paintings videos in the future.

The paintings said everything about their personalities. Eddy: soft and subtle colors: he's shy, timid, he'd think about everything... risks, impacts...when he wants to do something, sometimes second guessing himself. Brett: bright and strong colors. He's a person who's like.... LET'S GO, LET'S JUST DO IT. He'll come up at someone and talk to them without any reluctance. We love ya'll. You need to sign those paintings, and put it up for sale!! 🤩👍🏼

BRett's use of colors was actually good, too. I wish he didn't completely spread out the paint on the sun-thing, the texture was great!

Holy crap. I don't even have words. Eddy's is actually REALLY good, I would hang that on my wall. And I'm not just saying that as a fan; it looks really nice. I've seen that technique before, where you provide the general shape of things, instead of photo realism. And he chose his colors well. Brett's is obviously a completely different style, but it also came out really well. Definitely in the abstract category, but it has a very cool look to it. And again, the colors are actually pretty well chosen. This was awesome, they should make some tshirts with the art prints on them! I would absolutely wear both of these on a shirt.

My own style is much more like Eddy's, very realistic and classical, but I love the emotion evoked by Brett's abstract expressionism. Hm, curious, but Eddy's painting really reminds me of my homeland, Czechia. It looks like a valley of Berounka, those hills and the river's meandering... It feels almost personal when he is talking about Dvořák :) And the music is rather telling, but he wouldn't miss "Czechoslovakia", since that didn't exist at the time of his life, but fair enough, you wouldn't know that we were part of a bigger monarchy then. Nice video! Both Eddy's and Brett's painting are interesting in totally different ways 😀
