@@augustuslunasol10thapostle No, it's just about the experience, it's like how Champagne is only from Champagne France, everything else is just sparkling wine even though it's technically the same. There are lab created diamonds and ones formed under ground over millions of years, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference by eye. It's the atmosphere around something, not just the thing itself that draws people. The story of how something came to be can be more important sometimes.

@@DereckBenjamin06 It's kind of one and the same. It's like, original art from the artist, or a print. I have some lovely prints but I can't deny that there's something special about an original, the brush strokes you can see in 3d, the atmosphere behind it, it's some intangable quality that is part of something. It doesn't make reproductions BAD, just not the same.

Love how you uno reversed it 😂😂 like nature was like "no more sea glass for you" and you were like "AHAH more sea glass!!!"

It probably wasn’t blue glass but glass with a film sprayed over it… that’s how they make coloured glass nowadays 😭

I don't know anything about tumbling. Do you reuse the grit once it's dry again or does it only work once?

it breaks down when you tumble it into a sort of sludge, so you throw it out

it mightve been just on top of the glass rather than glass coloured blue originally

i love sea glass, today i went to the beach and collected some. Today was our most successful at that beach.

What kind of detergent do you use?

Gotta tumble for at least a week plus add sand and grit for the frosty look

2-3 days in a rock tumbler with rock tumbling grit (stage 1), water, and powder soap/detergent. If you want really smooth & nice edges tumble longer.

It was some kind of coating on top instead of being actual pigment in the glass
