He is SO cute, I'm so tempted to try this for myself. Also! If you want really nice brushes for painting and especially/specifically for blending things out and getting a really smooth gradient (like on the cheeks, ears and nose) I highly recommend using makeup brushes! I'm a propmaker and they're my secret weapon for getting beautifully blended gradients. Makeup brushes are made with the intention of being able to stipple and blend out makeup, but they make no differentiation between makeup and paints. ;) I find specific success with foundation brushes and any of the ones that have a general "mop brush" type shape to them. Overall I do still use paintbrushes to paint, but when it comes to details like that I've yet been unable to find any kind of paintbrush that beats out a makeup brush for that purpose. I know makeup brushes can get pricey, but since they're not actually being used for makeup a cheaper 'beginner's set' is perfect so long as it has a decent variety of shapes and have that super soft bristle that makeup brushes tend to have, since that helps for stippling.

I love this idea! I was wondering if anyone had ever painted the elves to be Krampus before. Also if Krampus isnt your cup of tea. He could easly be turned into a little Jack Frost.

Amazing what eyebrows can do! When you did the brows he immediately went from jolly to menacing! The whole thing turned out so good! I don’t know how you come up with all of your clever projects!
