Dude... I need one of those outfitted with those SUPER low range gears so I can choose between that and my R50 pathfinder when I hit the trails :D Need a set of those gears for the R50 while I'm at it. While its geared pretty good from the factory it would be nice to have a little more crawl control on some of the trails I do, seeing that it is a 5-spd. Nothing better than leading the way with jeeps that LOOK far more capable bringing up the rear and needing spotters. Those are the moments I live for HAHA

I'm glad that 14 min. in, they finally said the only thing a new long block saves you, "is time". Bottom line, it is always cheaper and mostly better to rebuild at .20 over or so, and have a practically brand new engine. If you trust the shop you go to? I did, and it was always better to have the shop tell me if it was worth it to fix what I had, or just buy a short block.

I had one of those POS Nissan pathfinders it was a manual and was my wife's. In a year I had to replace the timing belt, the water pump, one of the calipers seized and when I went to fix it I had to replace another caliper too and do all the brake rotors and pads. It also had this ticking noise up in one of the heads from about a little over idle to about 3000rpm, apparently it was a common problem with them and they recalled a bunch of them but they didn't recall my year so I got screwed! However we did drive it for over a year before we sold it with that ticking noise, we couldn't ever figure out what it was as far as I know it was something to do with the lifter and rod, but the whole year we drove it with the ticking noise it ran fine and surprisingly the engine never had any issues broke down.

Same here, mine is a 94 4x4, that tick you are talking about is the lifters going away, if you know VG30's and you got a rod knock, 9 out of 10 times someone ran it without oil, normally with pathfinders you all the sensors fail to the point they become undriveble and people get annoyed and they junk them, I got mine from my grandpa after sitting for 4 years because he didn't wanted to fix it.

When I was a stupid kid I thought Jessi was kinda ditsy eye candy. I've grown up and learned a lot about automotive, (and life.) As a parts tech, Most of my teachers were women. Looking back at these, I know Jessi knew her stuff and was passionate. She was happy and fun loving too, as a child that was all I saw. All I can do is make sure it doesn't take my kids 20 years to learn you can do what ever you want and still be you.
