I was in a head-on collision with an unsecured load in the back of my Golf Sportwagen. I spent a month in the hospital. Please secure all that lumber back there, the driver's seat definitely will not stop it.

nice break from the silver bullet I see. LOL my sister in law has something like this for her subaru, but for "two" people. Hers has a couple drawers underneath, but that's it. Cool idea for a single person who wants to easily get away for a weekend.

is the next project adding a lift and extra springs to support the load? Fun Project!!

First, the Airstream, now this. What's next? How about an old Piper Cub? Or a railroad car? Wouldn't that be cool?

Doesn’t work. I had a Subaru. Loved it. But try as I might… it was never cool.🫤 Cool project though! If your friend wants to try to feel better, next time he’s driving around in the car he could crank “92 Subaru” by Fountains Of Wayne… great tune.👍🏼
