I'm turning 30 tomorrow. Wow. I'm a bit speechless that this day has come, actually. A part of me can hardly believe it as I can still remember being a teenager and thinking people in their 30s are old... but here I am. I have plenty of thoughts and feelings at the moment - some coherent, others I have yet to figure out, some I want to share, some I need to keep to myself. I feel grateful of course, among many other good feelings. But turning 30 to me is also feeling anxious and scared. The feeling of having limited time with people I love is more pronounced - seeing my parents getting old makes me sad and worried. At the same time, I feel the urge or necessity to balance that with accepting that I have to let new chapters in my life unfold - like getting married and starting a family. :)
This video I made mainly for myself as I want to look back and watch this time and again. I'm sharing it because I know there are others who would like to watch this with me too. This was the day I celebrated turning 29. I was with people I love the most and we created plenty of fun and amazing memories.
