Turn your PANTS into a FLOTATION DEVICE!
Welcome to the St. Louis River in Minnesota! I teach my students how to turn their pants into a life saving vest in our lifestyle wellness class (in the pool, not the river) 3 different ways to turn your Pants into a life saving flotation device!

I know someone who survived 3 hours in the Pacific Ocean by using his jeans like this.
Man nearly drowned creating that
In some ways, this may be easier than the way the Navy taught us, however, with the Navy method the air is trapped. We tied each pant leg individually, then pulled the pants out of the water over your head and the two legs would be fully inflated, then you'd place the waist of the pants under your stomach, and you'd have each pant leg sticking up like a V shape. In this way you could swim the breaststroke with being fully buoyant from the air in the pants. Your body weight would work against the paints wanting to rise out of the water and this would seal the air into the leg cavities.

My traing in the Navy in the 70s taught the V method. It mostly helped if you had someone who was injured, weak or was not a good swimmer. You would do all the knot tying before you jumped into the water. 😊 enjoyed the video.
Hi! Like your video, can we use it for a dutch TV program for kids? Would be great!!

I don't understand the waist part will be open for the water to leak out?

The pressure of it being underwater won’t allow for the air to leak out
