Turn Your City Swimming Pool into an Organic Fish Farm - Pool to Plate - Ep 1

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Peter Clarke takes a group to visit JJ and Richard who show them the inner workings of their amazing pool. This is a classic Permaculture venture with Aquaponics as the central pillar. So much fascinating information here we have broken it into several parts. Part 1 is an overview of the system. Presented by Envirotube's Peter Clarke and directed by Howard Jackson, Wildhoop Productions.

I have 45 jade perch in a 4m x 2m above ground pool. doing quite well. I want to know if they will breed in there. Does anyone know if its possible to breed Jade Perch in a pool?

I would imagine it would work fine. You would probably also get a longer trout growing season in Melbourne than we do in Sydney

Water temperature in Sydney by the sea doesn't vary that much. No winter freeze or anything like it.

What species of native fish was chosen as the 'pioneer' population in the pool?

I was wondering how to do something similar in our unused pool in Perth. Love the idea, but have no clue on how to go about converting our fibre glass salted 45k litres pool
