do you know how to disable operation restrictions on my 14 accord coupe with the buttons instead of the screen imid?

Now how do you get it to save this setting when you turn the car off and back on again?! It resets every time the ignition is cycled.

after you restart the car.. it resets back too default anyways i believe... couldn't get setting to stay..

So how would you get into self diagnostic mode if you've installed an after market radio? You no longer have those buttons, can it be accessed via steering wheel controls?

I have a 2013 Honda accord exl with navigation, the display is quite different from the one in this video, I tried holding all 3 bottons (located in different parts) but does not take me to the next screen, I'm not too sure what to do and I really want to take this restriction off.

After you hold the 3 buttons, press menu button for 3 seconds

Sadly, There is no off selection in my 2014 Honda Accord restriction setting...

A partner thanks it works great but on my car which is a 2017 Honda Accord it resets back to on when I turn off the car and restart it is there a way I can make that setting stay off even if I restart my car ?

Do you know anything about the day time running light dimming , is there a way to turn that off ?

I've heard of people putting tape on the sensor that way the auto lights are always on. Also if you set the brightness with the tape on the sensor your brightness will stay the same because your car will think its always dark outside. Bad thing abiut this your headlights will always be on

Is there a way to keep it off? I have to re do the procedure every time I start my car.

I got an even cheaper fix, it cost thousands less and it will last a lot longer - it's called a 6 speed manual transmission.

Nicole G you’re probably in wrong screen. Try touching random buttons. Thats how I found this. Also switch the headlight toggle. There’s hidden menus. Its been a hot minute and i no longer have the accord.

MSP Diaries no. Its a Bluetooth thing. You have to use the iPod feature for it to not lag.

Am I understanding this correctly? If you have Operation Restriction on, you can't browse your iPod while in motion?!

you just can't use the keyboard to type an artist name etc..

This doesn't work though. It resets everytime I restart the ignition.

my bluetooth radio has audio latency the sound doesnt match when their mouth is moving

I got the operation restriction on my EX-L w/nav 2013 accord but the options are different than yes or no. I changed the default option but does works like yours.

my 2014 does not have the two buttons on the right side and the power button is not on the volume button ...??

to get into DIAG menu for Navi. You need to hold down "MENU", "NAV" and the "BACK" Button at the same time for 5 seconds.

When i select the operation restriction , there is no off or on button.... it show V-Scan or B-can.... can you help me?

Two knobs means ( no Navigation ) one knob means you have Navigation system .

Android is not supported. Its an old system. Honda kinda fd up on this. Now the have apple car and android something........ Sobit should work on the newer models. Sorry but I think it's time for you to get an iPod if you want it to work. I used the aux with my android.

I have a 2013 honda accord v6 coupe. when the car automatically shuts offf when no one is in the car, even with the key fob is in the car, it locks the key in the car. Does anybody know how to disable this or change it so it doesn't lock the key in the car?

Thank you very little for helping to increase accidents and all of our insurance rates. Sheesh.

Unfortunately, the settings don't hold. I have a 2013 Honda Accord and I did all the steps listed here. They work only for the time you first set them but when you turn your car off and then start it back up again you can check the settings again and they are turned back to their original settings. So unless someone has an alternative to make the updated settings stick this information, I am sorry to say, is useless.

You could say that but really the guy just gave you a step of 3 to 4 buttons to have full access to your cars functionality while in motion. Not that hard, but maybe for you it would be hard to remember all of that. Red Race you did a solid to everyone in my books. Thanks for the tips and tricks. I just did your steps while driving, great for those long trips when you want to change the song, album, and artist.

Sizan Shahriar turn the car off and on again it should default to original settings.

The safety system in the Honda is designed to keep you from mucking with the phone while driving to reduce your chance of an accident. Activating these functions illegally could land you in jail. That's why on the EX-L or touring, there is a voice command mode that allows you to make and receive voice calls but not reading text unless the car stopped. As many people pointed out, even if you can get it turns off, it is only temporary because the system restarts with factory default every time your turn off the ignition. You can endanger yourself and others screwing around with the phone while driving to a pole, a tree or hitting someone else.

What nonsense is this? None of this lands you in jail. Every state out there allows you to have a mounted phone to manipulate when you believe it is safe to do so. This is no different than that.
