Thank you, sir. I am known as a sharp dresser and am very appreciative that it is heralded by others. This video is one of many I have seen, but few others break down the steps which lead to greatly desired result. I wear bowties and recognize the superior appearance they provide. I am skilled in tying them, but have discovered there is not a great variety of colors or patterns available without spending a great amount of money. I have a large number of neckties in various colors, and am now able to wear them as bowties. I had set the bar very high regarding my style of dress. With this information, the height of that bar has increased exponentially. For that, I offer my heartfelt gratitude!

My son just came to me tonight (9 p.m. on a Monday) and said this week is Spirit Week at his high school and his sophomore class has to dress like the 90's TOMORROW. He wanted to be Steve Urkel (SMH), but he only has 5 neck ties (they are for church). KZread to the rescue! Your tutorial popped up first. I followed the steps and voila! he now has a "bow tie" for his class "costume". I am saving this video and I'm going to tell him to do the same! Thank you for sharing!!!

Thanks for sharing this Jimmy. I have a nice purple/black plaid necktie that I wore for a meeting (I'm a bowtie man meownself) and one of the ladies commented that it was too bad that I had to resort to wearing a necktie that matched my shirt. My wife told me that she thought that she could convert the tie to bowtie as she has made me several bowties and has the know how. Seeing this I now can wear any number of my neckties as bowties. A BIG thumbs up to you.

However, I think the tip on folding the center part in half makes all the difference in the look of the final product. I'm going to change mine right now before church....thanks
