Learn how to blend acrylic paint into a stunning abstract acrylic painting masterpiece.
Today's painting has a rustic feel with the warmth of deep red orange hues that transcends into a universal realm. For the creation process, I applied three layers of paint at different stages to create depth in the background with fine lines that are present in the foreground, and although I named this piece "Turmoil," I feel a sense of wonder and MYSTIQUE when I look at it. I LOVE warm colors, and even more, I'm amazed how they blend into whatever the imagination can create. I began my art journey early on in life, first with a sketchbook, then I tried portrait realism, and when I discovered abstract fluid painting, I became addicted. I love various art forms, but modern contemporary art is what I gravitate towards. Whether it's visualizing furniture placement or mixing paint for an acrylic pour, I'm in my happy place when I create. I appreciate the notes on when you allowed the paint to dry as well as the comments at the end on spraying high gloss varnish. Very helpful when the artist provides info on products and techniques.

This is "Magic & Madness" to me!! I absolutely LOVE IT!!. I a definately drawn to the abstract side of art, but not all of it. The depth of colour & almost 'melancholy?' really appeals to me in this! What spray do you use to finish your painting. I have been using a brush-on high-gloss product which is fine if I am using texture on my canvass but not great when I use a smooth canvass so I am looking for other options. Thank you, love your videos and your paintings :)

@susan28hickman My process is different depending on the painting and size. I pour Liquitex Gloss PM over small to modest canvas and simply tilt it off like paint. On larger ones, or artworks that are mixed media, I use Krylon clear coat spray varnish. I'm glad you like the painting. I hope this helps. 😊

What spray varnish did you use on this? Do you have a video on how you varnish? that has turned out to be one of the things I struggle with the most.

@teresapay4862 I used Krylon clear coat gloss on this piece, which is a spray, but if I pour it on, I use Liquitex Gloss PM. If you check out my "Tips & Tricks" playlist, there are a couple of tutorials, but my suggestion is to take old canvases and practice with various tools and don't let it get tacky. I hope that helps. 😊
Gorgeous colors and composition! I noticed initially you spritzed water on canvas. But did you continue along the way or just meld the paints without help from water? Txz jeanne

@goldyk80 This is an abstract painting, not fluid art. I can't give you a consistency for this painting. I spritz the canvas with water.
There are a lot of missing pieces of this work.
