Love this one. My father told me every city hall has 5 rifles of these in the whole country even villages. These rifles where known by every soldier if you told them abaout Kirikkale, all where replaced by the M1 Garant in 1960. In 1968 the more modern G3 was produced under licence and in 1970’s all ground forces used G3’s.

That's the nicest non-WW2 rifle I've seen in my life.

Nothing more satisfying than hearing the 'clicks' of cartridges being inserted in a rifle from a clip and having that clip fly off by the forward movement of the bolt.

That is the first rifle I have ever fired in my life. In army military high school when I was 14, I fired it in firing range.. lots of memories with it. Good old days.. 😊

My first Mauser was a Turkish one, paid for it, got it, went to go shoot, didn't fire, take it to a gun smith, get told I was sold a wall hanger. Was a painful day to learn that.

Hey buddy, might wanna sit down. Those aren’t imperial markings.

If you like that old Mauser, you should pull the old Turkish ammo apart, and reduce the powder charge by 5 grains. You risk cracking the stock on that rifle.

I've fired over 14,000 rounds of 1930s Turkish ammo so far. Hasn't hurt any rifle yet. It doesn't even kick as hard as new manufacturer, European 8mm JS hunting ammo. Honestly, if you want to download it, I'd go more like 10% than 5. 5% isn't much.

The only problem with Turkish ammo besides the common primer issues that's universal to milsurp is the brass being brittle. It's a lighter load than German light ball or even Portuguese light ball which are both extremely well regarded.
