Turkish Domino Record 2016 - 300.000 dominoes

14 domino builders from 6 nations present: The Turkish Domino Record 2016 event, held in the city of Bursa (Turkey) and with 300.000 dominoes!
From the 20th untill the 31st I was in Turkey for this big project along with many known builders from around the world. Builders from Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands and the United States came together in Bursa to build this magnificent big domino project where the recent history of Turkey is shown (1920 - 2016).
The goal was to break the old Turkish Domino Record of almost 200.000 dominoes set 7 years ago by none other than Domino Day (video here: • Istanbul Domino Show 2... )
Speaking of Domino Day, around this week of November it normally was Domino Day. The last event was held in 2009 and 7 years later in Bursa, we created an awesome, breathtaking domino project that feels like the old Domino Day projects.

I was greatly impressed by this domino setup! My favorite part was the Bursa logo and the final field! Let's see, which was the biggest accident there? And why did you choose this location and this theme? Who supplied all the dominoes?

The biggest accident while biulding was that half the Sea Battle fell one day before the falldown. The reason why this project was made is that the organizer was form Brusa, Turkey. They made this project possible while we build the dominoes. And the dominoes were supplied by Sinners Domino Entertainment - by truck :D

You are not the only one haha. At that moment I was in joy of the great result but like 30 minutes after I could cry for all the dirtyness and confettiness :O. The confetti was like dust over the stones and was soooooo horrible to clean up! I will never do that again lol.

indeed! I build about half of it (2 times) it unfortunatly fell due to some dominoes from the upper layers :/

im not sure. You never know what this project could have started. Its only a rumor that their might be another project in the future, planned to be built in Turkey again. But its a big maye for now. I would very much like to do it again that is for sure :D

Coincidentally I was planning on that! I did however make 2 stadiums in 2010 for the World Cup in Johannesburg (video W&D5) and the Euro2012 in Kiev (video W&B1). I may build my home town stadium as it will have a 20 year anniversary soon.

that is because she, as well as me and other builders were part of it. It was a combined team of builders from the USA, Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and me from The Netherlands to create a new Turkish Domino Record. The project was mainly organized by Sinners Domino Entertainment.

Whoever put this video together doesn't get the appeal of domino-videos... It cuts back and forth between setups, making it impossible to follow the progression. And there are short pieces cut out! Because of what!? Because right then ad there there isn't a big thing happening, just dominos falling!!?? THAT'S THE FUCKING POINT OF THE VIDEO!

there are indeed some things cut as we all as builders were not allowed to present the 100% falldown. I dont know is the full falldown is on KZread though.
