Turkish Breakfast Feast

Ойын-сауық

In the hills near to Fethiye in Southwest Turkey is a secret restaurant and museum, that mostly local residence frequent, where they serve a Turkish breakfast feast, Türk Kahvaltısı, all organic and from there own produce, it's called Enver Yalçin Yörük Müzesi near Kargı. Using their own fruit, home made bread, cheese, yogurt and all cooked in a traditional way, it's an great experience and social event.
No Turkish breakfast is the same, for most it's a collection of their own produce if they live in a rural village, but it is always a family gathering.

Turkey is one of the most beautiful country on earth. And yes i have been to all over the world. At least 70 countires. Not just Turkish breakfast but lunch and diner is also exceptional. Never seen anywhere. The hospitality, geniunity and geneosity of Turkish people are so unique. Overall it's a beutiful country and only place on earth i keep going back everytime i need a break.

I hope nothing went to waste. All the Turkish cooks I've watched are careful to not throw out a bit. They don't even throw out extra water. The beautiful Turkish people don't like to waste food. I do the best I can to not offend people where ever I visit. Waste of food offence is common in western nations. So we have to be mindful of this.

It's a good thing I just had a meal while watching this. Now I can see what the Mulberry looks like, I had Mulberry ice cream in Kas after my hike up the castle. This grand breakfast brings back sweet memories of my 3 days Gulet/cruise from Fethiye to Kas/Demre. Three young skippers were in charged of everything, including preparing 3 meals/day + tea time at 4pm. Each meal was a big spread similar to this, it always always included tomatoes, cucumber, cheeses, yogurt + black olives, they will ring the bell when the food were ready! I never had tomato, cucumbers + olives in my breakfast before, but I eat everything. All 10 of us admitted that we will never eat cucumbers + tomatoes once we goes back home, our group consists of South Africans, Australians & Americans. We were amazed that our 3 skippers were able to prepare delicious food in a small sail boat kitchen! I took sea sickness pills so I took a nap after each meal, there were the most relaxing 3 days in my 2019 trip, so glad I did it.

If they eat like Turks (reason i am saying like Turks) they will have healthy breakfast and all freshly hand made. Sigara boregi (cigar pastry) with feat cheese, minced meat, potato, spinach in it or any type of borek, tomato, cucumber, hot and sweet pepper, hard boiled egg, menemen, (eggs with freshly cut tomato cubes and hot chilly paper cooked in butter)kasar peyniri (hard cedar cheese) fresh spicy tomato sauce, black olive, honey, different type of jams, bunch of other things of course most importing thing is CAY (black tea). as a Turkish, I should say that this is a new growing tradition. Back in days, our breakfast was so simple. Local cheese, feta, olives, tea, tomatoes and egg. With amazing bread... Now, this simple breakfast culture turned into a mixture of something that I can hardly explain. I should also add the fact that it is also so expensive to eat breakfast now.

Türkçeyi çok güzel konuşuyorsunuz.Türk kahvaltıları,özellikle Pazar günü yani çalışılmayan off day olarak geçen gün,ailelerin toplanma ve birlikte vakit geçirme günü için oldukça önemlidir. ENG-You speak Turkish very well. Breakfast is very important for us Turks. There is usually no work or school on Sundays. Sunday breakfasts are spent with the family. The week is being criticized. The next week is planned on a Sunday😊
