Well, from the perspective of someone who did fly with Turkish Airlines….., If I were you I’d rather not call them the best. I think that the cabin crew proficiency is very poor, the staff are nicer to the people who are Turkish. And the all in all comfort is bad.

They weren’t great when I was on the phone with them earlier today. Not impressed. Made me want to cancel my trip altogether.

I have made many flights to Istanbul Chicago Istanbul. 340, 330 and 777. I loved the 340 very much. The 777 is pretty good too. THY connects two of the most beautiful cities in the world in my opinion.

How was your trip?

Turkish Airlines appears to have an absolutely superb inflight product on the Boeing 777-300 ER. I think the seats, entertainment and catering are all cutting edge and world class.

I enjoyed a flight from Cape Town with a 2 h stopover in Istanbul to Paris ( Charles de Gaulle) during September 2017. The service from Cape Town was excellent. The food was also of high quality. Sorry to say the short leg to CDQ was not of the highest quality of service. Perhaps it could be as the staff see it as a Donestic flight. However I have enjoyed the overall flight.

I really like the Boeing 777 planes. For many reasons I feel safer, as a passenger, sitting in the larger planes. I am also familiar with the Boeing brand name. Nice video David and thanks for sharing your fun travels with us!

I’ve flown swiss,austrian and United airlines and july 2022 i fly turkish for first time i get to enjoy that place i was raised in Kosovo i go there twice a yr and have to make a stop somewhere in Europe I usually like to have at least a 24hr layover wherever I stop so i can get out and enjoy it

You will love Turkish. They are the next level. We have been to Pristina, everyone was so nice, great highways, and we even visited the Bill Clinton statue 😃 Unfortunately this was a year before we got serious about making videos

Great video, I'm flying Turkish Airlines from Miami to Kenya in October. I had the most difficult time trying to purchase the ticket from their site 🙄 hopefully the flight is better than my experience was purchasing the ticket. I also tried to reach out to them several times to upgrade but they didn't allow me 😒... Oh well, it's my first time with this airline so you live and you learn.

Last year I was able to reach out to Turkish on their USA number, I’m not sure where you are calling from, but I think you can ask them for either a bulkhead seat or an upgrade. The bulkhead seats have plenty of room. I sat there on a domestic flight on a 777-300 Antalya-Istanbul

Did they weigh your carry on? Online it says max 8kg for carry on. I was thinking of bringing a big backpack as a personal item, not sure if they would allow this or not. They do not specify size of personal item online.

No, they didn’t weigh my carryon. I travel a lot, and having my carryon weighed has happened maybe twice ever fortunately. Especially if you are flying Turkish from USA I highly doubt they will weigh it. I’ve never seen it happen here

We will be taking the same plane from Cancun to Istanbul in two days. Is there individual air adjustment? We heard that it is super warm on the plane and that you can't control the air above your seat. Very worried about this. My husband is always hot even with the air on. Can you give me any information on this. Thank you.

That’s awesome that they fly to Cancun, I didn’t know that. Turkish is still my favorite, I like them even more than Emirates. As far as the overhead air, I believe all 777s do not have that. If you do get too hot, do not hesitate to ask the flight attendants to adjust the main cabin temperature. That is always an option. I don’t recall ever being too hot on Turkish. It might have been someone’s individual experience maybe. Have a great trip!

Thank you. Yes they do lift, my kids both lifted theirs and slept on me. However if you are in the first row bulkhead seats, those armrests do not lift.

I’m not sure about food for babies, but my kids have always gotten toys, headsets, and amenity kids made for kids on Turkish Airlines. The doggy backpacks in this video are what they were given this time.

Want to let you know that I am about to try Turkish airlines. I am already kind of aware of the fleet with Turkish Airlines. It has 4 wide body passenger aircraft: 2 Boeing wide bodies and 2 Airbus wide bodies; which are B777, B787, A330, and A350. I’ll fly in this airline four times, and yes, I will try all four aircraft types! With the order respect my to the order I named each of the aircraft types above.

Ugh the stairs! Last time my mom had cataracts and I hadnt gotten her a wheel chair servicr since sitting for too long can also be painful for her and then she had to take the stairs once we landed at IST. Sigh

Hello, In time or money? Time was 10:37 hours. I paid for the trip using United Mileage plus miles, however this trip normally sells for $1200-1300 USD.

Nobody on youtube shows the first seats after Business. Everybody skips that specific seat.

Turkish Air has gotten a lot of flack for 2-3-2 seating in business class on their 777's but I think they're one of the last carriers to have 3-3-3 seating in economy. Most are now 10 abreast which is just awful.

I flew this same route in July. I thought it was perfectly good, but nothing special. One of our seats wasn’t functioning properly and wouldn’t go into the lie flat position. The meal service was super rushed considering it was such a long flight and the food selections could have been more “international.” Business class boarded last, which I found odd, but maybe was COVID-related. Certainly no better than American or United.

Not the same experience I had with Turkish Airlines. It was an urgent flight from Indonesia to London via Istanbul during the height of the pandemic. The entertainment system is shockingly bad with a very poor selection of movies, the food was horrendous and the flight attendants were less than helpful. The return flight didn't fair much better with mediocre food and beverages and the same attitude from the cabin crew. I usually fly Virgin Atlantic or Singapore Airlines for my long haul flights which are far more superior carriers to Turkish airlines in my opinion and in all honesty I would not fly Turkish Airlines again.

Ok I just came back from a trip flying Emirates 3 legs. Two A380s and one 777-300ER. Honestly we didn’t see too much of a difference between the service and economy class cabins of TK and EK. I did like the nice touch of taking our Polaroids on EK. This summer I hope to book Qatar Airways
