Pilots working in Turkish Airlines are specially selected. I would also like to state that Turkish Airlines is the third most reliable airline company in the world. They almost never crash.

Although they haven't had a fatal passenger accident since 2009, they have a track record that's mediocre at best with 4 crashes since then. What do you mean with fatalities on ground? The people on board the plane that died on the ground, or people in houses, airport, etc.

The ground fatalities are people who weren’t on the plane, so anyone on the ground that is killed by the plane crashing. In 6491 there were only four people on the aircraft

AA flight 587 is a good example, crashed into houses, killing eveyone onboard, but at that time when AA flight 587 crashed, there were some people in/outside their house so they got killed in the result of impact
