Just hunted near Athens off route 50 and they were hammering Monday morning. Good luck to you all. If u come the last two weeks of the season you can hunt all day.

I got my turkey in killdeer plains OH may 3rd. Heard two gobbles hard season. Walked up on a Tom in corner of the field, 7inch beard. One and half Spurs. 3:15pm, saw 6hens. Three toms, they just don’t gobble much this season

With all the fartin’, burpin’, and snottin’ this season Id say we’re about one video away from someone crappin’ their pants!

We do a turkey camp every year! It’s a blast, but that cold snap and wind made it tough!

My buddies Chris, Danny and I did the same on public ln our home state in southern Ohio. A lot of pressure but fun weekend lets get on some birds y'all🤟

Definitely wasn’t the amount of gobbling we were expecting in southern OH. Buddy shot one at 6:40 right after fly down, but every other bird shut up before 7 both mornings. Plenty of trucks with hunters saying the same.

Turkeys are on the decline here in Ohio. Now we have bobcats getting off the roost at night, but we aren't allowed to kill bobcats. Makes no sense! It was awesome here 15 years ago.

Another Ohio boy here, this season has been rough so far. They seem to want to just hang up and catch a bad case of lockjaw in my area this year.

Start off cutting soft and then get louder and more aggressive cutting before you break into your yelp with that glass call and I promise you’ll have better results. If you’ve ever heard many hens in the wild they never start off just yelping as loud as they can

I'm no expert, but, to this day in CNY I've never seen a turkey dust bath in the AM hours? Am I wrong. Seems like a late afternoon choice for them to me

The gobbling in NE ohio has been very slow. Not sure if it's the cool mornings or increase in Coyotes.

It’s definitely the coyotes because this year I heard them talking when it was thirty degrees outside and then when they fly down they stop talking and last year I ended up calling in coyotes and killed them and I haven’t gotten a bird for almost 5 years because of the increase of coyotes

Coyotes are awful I’m around the Canfield area we hunt a few farms and the coyotes are definitely increasing in numbers glad we went to one gobbler. I think fall should be cut down to 2 weeks bearded bird only.

I watched a coyote attack a flock of hens and fail miserably. The hens didn’t even fly and the coyote ran away. I imagine they do more damage to nests/poults. But predators alone are rarely the problem it’s probably a habitat issue.

coyotes are a big factor for sure but dont forget about the coons and skunks... They will just destroy a whole nest..

I think it's funny that woodhaven copied our pot call design. They bought 50 of our handmade calls a few years ago at the NWTF National Convention. A year or two later they came out with a bunch of new calls that look similar to ours. I ain't knocking em just think it's funny. I did buy one the crystal one. It wasn't bad but prefer my hand built calls over most
