Yenişehir is a municipality and district governorate in Greater Mersin, Turkey. This part of Mersin has a new texture and modern buildings with larger restaurants and shops.
Yenişehir is closer to Mersin University, so it is the best area to rent apartment for students who come to study here.
Mersin is one of the 30 metropolitan centers in Turkey with more than one municipality within city borders. In Mersin there are four second-level municipalities in addition to Greater Mersin (büyükşehir) municipality.
