It’s much quieter than my Niche Duo. It’s also getting much better results.

For the longest time, the ek43 was the gold standard. In general i didn't like the espresso from it at coffee shops. I always thought it spun too fast. I think lance confirmed that, or hoffman did too. I'm looking forward to this grinder and speed variability. Burrs are pricey but if the time comes to try a different one. I'll be happy there is a huge selection.

My sette 270 is in a sound box, double wall and it's horribly loud. The primary reason i just bought this 83v. I'm looking forward to it. Bought form you.

Have you had a chance to use the MP burrs in the 83v? Right before the early order bonanza Joe did last week I had received a 64v and installed my MP burrs and I’m really happy with its performance for espresso. I’ll be looking for when you get a chance to compare the 64v and 83v with MP’s. Thanks for the content!

Seems that this has an auger to control feed rate as opposed to a pre-breaker.

How is it in comparison to the Df83?

Thanks for the video! I’m excited to get mine. So excited I dreamt it came in and surprised me. Ha ha! So, I upgraded to the SSP HU Espresso burrs. Will it come with those installed or will it comes with the DLC Burrs installed and I’ll have to swap them? This video gives me the impression I’ll have to swap them.

Think most direct ship orders will come with DLC. SSP are aftermarket and would be user installed.

Other reviews say there are some stalling issues. I am sure the motor is strong but it's likely a safety stop to resistence. Is it a problem or is this being changed/updated before final shipping?

Glad to see you don't have the SLM right up against the grinder. Ideally, it should be placed at a distance similar to where your ears would be during operation. Perhaps more like a meter away.

I usually stand about 20" away at my home counter. Most likely will be closer to 30 depending upon height of person.

Looks good to me. Main query would be whether the big silver power button can be easily changed? Or will the production one be less garish?

I didn't see any option to try and get the grinder with all burrs. I'm guessing there isn't any special pricing there? XD

Both mazzer zm and bentwood have kinda the same bean feed/auger/burr position.

are the burr mount using a wave spring system? or a different system?

Different. They had to change from wave to coil for this design.

Is the hopper removable? Would love to 3d print something smaller instead

Awesome, thanks. I would be using it with a 1200 W heat exchange espresso machine. This grinder is 600 W bringing the total draw to 1800 W. I have a 110 V 15 A circuit that runs a max 1800 W. Do you think I could be running the espresso machine and the DF 83 V at the same time without tripping the circuit? 👍

Either burr for press. Moka probably ok with both, but the brew do not go quite as fine.

How does the dosing cup fit in the portafilter?
