When you finally install this engine into a car, be sure to grind on the intake ports with an abrasive pad, and be sure to leave all of the intake ports open/uncovered that way you get as much garbage as humanly possible into the engine before you fire it up just like you guys did with the blower install awhile back!

Get the ford racing oil pump and buy billet gears if you plan on big boost later on.

Impact gun prevents snapped bolts. I use electric impact so it's not so intense. Heat works also.

Where are you located I have a 97 Lincoln mark viii and I really need to get my motor n transmission rebuilt

isnt the mrk 8 very close to the cobra engine

Just bought a 98 Mustang GT with a tired engine. And just saved a 94 mark 8, with a very good (well maintained) 4.6l dual overhead cam engine from going to the crusher. What is the bare minimum, absolutely necessary things to do in order to make the dual overhead cam 4.6L start, and run in the mustang? Hoping to swap, with the least amount of money spent.

That is a solid foundation. So looking forward to Turdzilla be back on the road and get destroyed again. Lol! But it is cool that a 4 valve swap is in place. I was thinking for the brown auto Stang. If it is possible. Do a 5.4 swap? I like to see That, even it is not going to be a Lighting swap. But a 3 valve 5.4 should be on the list for the brown car if you guys choose to keep it. Whenever the oil pan was pulled off a small chuck of rubber fell into the crankcase, make sure it is retrieved before the project is completed

I'm looking at a DOHC swap for my '01 GT is the motor out of a 2005 Lincoln Aviator the same as the '01 Cobra? Thanks

Where does one learn how to work on cars like this?? I am studying to become a veterinarian... so taking a whole semester worth of classes on cars would be impossible. I can only do basic stuff on my 3v but I want to pull the motor and really get to it.

Andrew I highly recommend getting In touch with Todd Warren. Aka NASVT on fb and asking where to set the cams he's very knowledgeable about 4v b head and c head stuff. It will make a huge difference in power output.

The 4 valve you have is a good engine that just needs a little help. Don't Coyote swap until someone figures out the bbq tick. The 4 valve is much more reliable

Yes, for comfort it’s heavier, has irs which rides well but doesn’t race well, same with air suspension
