Taryl & Co are hitting a local tractor show in Crown Point, IN and Junior needs to get his tractor up and running for the show. What better person to volunteer to get it running than Taryl?! Of course Junior would rather race RC cars than work on his own equipment, so check out what all Taryl did to get this little Swisher Ride King up and running for the show. Now Junior will be the king of the show! Be sure to come out and check the show out, Taryl and Co will only be there Saturday July 8th 2022. They'll be bouncing around the show and mingling with the show's spectators, so come on out and bring the fam!

Taryl If you don't know but Mustie1 is giving you a shout-out in almost every video he does. Every time he drains fuel your cup is there!
I was shocked when you said 1994. Looks like it's from the 60s. Cool tractor!

Looks like the design was from the 1960s but the company releases a few every so often sort of like how you can get Coke in the old fashioned glass bottles around Christmas time.
The design is pretty innovative, it's like a zero turn without all the hydrolic lines etc, but you can turn on a dime, pretty sweet
Taryl, the Swisher mowers were made in my hometown in Warrensburg Missouri. My dad worked there in the 70's and we had 3 of them. Max Swisher was the man behind the machine. I had the oldest one with the solid tires. Talk about throwback I'm 54 now.

I use 1 just like that.. my grandpa bought new. Works great on smaller yards.
Neat rider, enjoy you rehabbing old equipment Neat to see old brought back to life thanks for the video
That thing looks weird even for 1994!!! Good work!!
Trikes mean you hit every bump and every hole. 😉
Very interesting and educational video. I have never seen one of these. Thanks for saving another rare piece of US made vintage machinery.
Omg it was the coolest meeting you all today at the lake county tractor show. So awesome
I love the look of that thing. Definitely the type of mower you'd see me on.
This thing is fascinating. There’s so much farm-boy ingenuity in it.
With no ill will or disrespect to Junior, The late great Dash Crofts from the pop duo "Seals and Crofts" had a very memorable and catchy tune called "The King of Nothing". Good luck at the show!

Had a Big Mow in the 60s -70s. Had a wind up starter. And steering spinner knob. So you never had to stop. Just turn fast. Could pop a wheelie on a hill backwards. Wish I had it now.
Well that's just too cool! First time I've seen a drive pulley on the top of an 8HP Briggs! I would have liked to got a better look at that!

First time I've seen that as well. Might be a cool way to install an alternator on top.
Thanks for posting and taking the time to show everything that you were doing it was very informative
That’s a cool little mower hope you are all having fun at the show…
Love you Guys. Have a Great Show Taryl. 👍🇬🇧🔧😂
Definitely a unique older mower! Great job👍 if I wasn't so far away in southeast New Mexico, I'd be there!
Love the way he says, "Wash"!! Uniquely American!! 😂🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Good job Taryl . Junior got the ride king, thanks to all your help
i like that the flywheel side drives the tractor and the pto side drives the deck. That is a balanced system !
Look at all that experience Junior is missing out on doing...kids...huh!😂
Greetings from France dear boy, by George you can certainly polish a turd, I love the repairs you do to seemingly broken parts, it's clever and bloody good engineering, love the funny sketches they make me pee with laughter and brighten my day
That’s an unusual mower for sure, that’s what makes it cool 😎
Cool old mower. Thanks for sharing.
LOL.... I used to have an older one... that had 5hp tecumesh enginr... so funky set up with drive pully on top under recoil starter... mow fine when it ran.. end up installing spinner knob on the steering wheel.. so, I can swing the booger 180 degrees to mow the next pass, kinda like zero turn.. lots of fun, as long as lawn is flat without hills.. THANK Taryl...
Thank s for your videos!!
I have a 2000 Big Mow,runs like a champ, cuts better than any rider I have ever seen!!! Mine has the Fiberglass front cover. I wish Swisher still made them, they are a fantastic riding mower!!! This is my 4th Swisher 3 wheel rider.
I would have thought it was older than that. Super cool Taryl.
I'm 48 yrs old and have seen just about every mower or tractor made...until now lol. I've never seen or heard of one of these. Very cool little machine...thanks Taryl!!!

@@james1795 Yeah...a neighbor (when I was a kid...mid-late 50s) had a riding mower of similar design. Looked like a 3 wheel golf cart, no cab, mower deck. Death trap is right...saw him tip over more than once personally. I'm 69 now and don't consider myself "old"😅😅 And after retiring as a mechanical engineer of 45 years, know enough to never say that I've seen everything.

I have 2 of those and some parts. I love that little mower
love your channel! Great content! And most of all great people!
That is one funky mower!
I used to work on small engines. I'm 57 and worked at a hardware store for about 15 years in the shop part, all alone only on the 4 cycles, then on 2 and 4 the last 5 years, 2 cycle guy retired. I'm retired now but I knew all lawn equipment from a young age, I miss it so bad, I could probably open a shop but I just don't have the space, have the knowledge. Take care my friend, love your "SHOW" lol
You guys are a hoot. Thanks for the video and laughs
Good tips on that nozzle.. I've used the tap before but never thought to heat it up.
great entertainment, thanks for making great content
I have one from the 80's and it's a blast to mow with! You can spin the steering wheel around fast while mowing without clutching it and it acts just like a 0 turn. If they made them today, I think they'd sell fast!
HOLY COW! I have a 1969 model of this same Tractor. Sadly it has a blown motor and needs replaced. No idea where to start but i do want to get it back up and going. Totally awesome to see another one of these. I thought I have one of the only survivors.
I like how the Muffkin is right under the seat. Keep your keaster warm in the summer.
That is a pretty cool machine, with a lot going on in that front wheel. Central California Watching
We had one of those when I was growing up bad bought it used in the mid 70s. It was called the BIG MOW. It was a single speed with a 6hp tecumseh. Friends of ours had a newer one that 2 speeds
thanks for the content and greetings from the NJ Bayshore
I had 2 of those, first had metal pan seat, 2 nd was just like this one... Nice mower good for small yards 120v electric start.

Throttle was next to your left knee on the engine.. 2nd one I had was also a 2 speed.
OMG...Swisher. About 20 years ago I called on them for products I represented. They credit themselves with the 'worlds first' zero-turn mower. Sure it accomplished the 'zero turn' by swinging that front wheel, but what the hey.
This would be cool at the NTPA pulls in August in Bowling Green, Ohio!!!
Never seen anything like that at the local Home Depot,Great video
Cool little mower ...we have a Swisher brush mower
Nice! And we didn't have to wait till Sunday morning!
Hope you have a nice tractor show greeting from 🇩🇰
You can’t beat the way an old Ride 👑 King mows. This one is a little rough around the edges but salvageable. They usually are at the head of the tractor parade.
Great job ter dactyl awesome antique riding mower
It's the 9th right now. Happy tractor show.
A great show, and even better was meeting all of you!! You made our day, a great group of guys! Look for a little something in the mail soon that will help with chasing those bad threads! 🫵
Interesting machine. Looks like it has a special drive pulley on the recoil assembly. Thanks for the video, neat stuff. You guys have fun at the tractor show, wish I could be there.
A fellow in town here has a.......FORTY INCH DECK Swisher. The only time I've seen one. I've had two Swishers over the years. First one was a crank type Tecumseh or Briggs. The second one, bought new in '92, conventional pull start Briggs. Both were 32". Neither had a foot pedal for drive engagement, used a lever on the steering column. Speed changes were accomplished by twisting a double knobbed shaft. Good for mowing a VERY level lawn otherwise it was scalp city!
that is one nifty mower... 🤩 there was a guy that had a strong screwdriver working on a lawnmower and passed out half way thru the fixing 🤪
That front wheel will tear up the lawn when you decide to go in reverse. Whooo hooo!
wow jr is early satisfied. the film was short and sweet! nice job guys
Lol great video guys always love watching and you nailed how kids today are glued to their phone or games and they hardly do anything else lol always something funny in the gag intro clips thanks for sharing buddy
That's a pretty cool machine, yep, fit for a King.
That's a very unique riding mower indeed. I wonder if it's fun to drive. I really like my Zero Turn.
it wold be a dream come true if i could go to the show
That thing sure moves good for just 8 horsepower. Nice looking old tractor.
Neat little mower. I wouldn't be so crazy about having the flywheel right between my legs but still a cool machine.
Interesting idea but I’ll stick with a rope start. Happy Father’s Day Taryl and all Grass Rats.
Stuff like this will outlast modern JUNK.
Thank you for the video.

That would be perfect for the swap meet. A little trailer to put parts in it's all that's needed.
I see a lot of John Deere tractors in that yard. Looks like money to me.
Nice job 👍
Another job well done Sir! Keep up the great work!
The person who designed that mower was/is a genius. I'm amazed by the simplicity/complexity of the design. 🤯
My uncle had the old swisher that had the crank starter on it. You ratchet it up and hit the lever and away she goes. They actually mowed pretty fast.

I worked for a man back in the early 80's that had one of these swisher mowers that had the wind up crank on it, They worked pretty well as long as the engine would start on the first couple of wind ups. I used to borrow it to cut my grass with. At night, in the dark. They were pug-ugly.

Dude this thing is cool 💓👍 never seen one before.
Still have mine , runs like a Champ!
The first zero turn mower great little mower in its day i had one
Back in the 1990's I adopted a pair of Big Mo riders. Never finished them, but I did get one usable...
When I was a kid in the 80s many people had Snapper ride on mowers with a Briggs engine right behind the seat.
lol I bet that thing is a blast on a moderate hill lol
Awesome video! Wicked Great project! :) :)
You sure use that WATER DISPLACEMENT 40,a lot for penetrating oil! You know that's not what it's made for!! Just kidding 😂 ( no I'm not),,, no seriously, that some good stuff for a lot of things! I get tickled when you get on to people about stuff like that,, and when you use the prybar and hammer on the flywheels to remove them!! I'm getting hooked on your videos! I'm glad you're teaching people how to do things without all the "SPECIALITY" TOOLS! LIKE THE "PROFESSIONAL SMALL ENGINE MECHANICS" HAVE TO USE SO THEY CAN WORK ON SOMETHING!! YOU'RE PROVING THINGS CAN BE DONE JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER WITH JUST BASIC SHOP TOOLS! AND I SINCERELY APPLAUD YOU FOR THAT! KEEP THIS GOING!!
Reminds me of the older three wheelers dubbed "death traps" in the late eighties early nineties. Except this death trap has a mower deck attached to the bottom of its three wheels..🤣 Definitely a diffrent idea. Looked older than I would have guessed.
Really like mine it's great for a small yard, just need a new gas tank for mine.
That is possibly the most unhandy lawn mower I have ever seen. No wonder this is the first time I've seen it!
