I own one of these they are awesome. I broke down and bought the SOLO Bonfire heat deflector and it fit perfectly, It really throws out the heat.

Nice video. I just got one and am really impressed with the quality (heavy 304 stainless steel) especially on sale for $159! One note is to be careful when putting it away that the tabs line up again. It will sit nicer, no pressure from the bumps on the upper section, and sections won't stick together next time to attempt to unpack. Enjoy!

No doubt it’s definitely gonna benefit us on our late fall and early spring camps. Especially when burn bans hit us all over. I will be adding a spark arrester lid to it. I’m figuring metal mesh should work.

How long does it take to cool down enough to start breaking it down? Just curious because I’d like to take it to a friend’s house for the evening at times.

As the wood begin to go to coals. I stirred it around took maybe an Hr. We just let it sit. You’ll know by placing your hand over the top.

@@dan6361 I was really surprised how well it performed. Better than I anticipated and really puts out the heat.

@@Outdoormorefamily One more question please….I have been looking at a wide variety of these. The one thing that I have heard people say is that most of these do not give you warmth from the knees down at all. It comes out from the top only. Is this the case for you as well? Thank you again for answering the questions.

@@dan6361 honestly it doesn’t. The heat radiates more from the top. There is some heat that will come from the side and sitting within 3 ft of the pit we could feel the heat as it was radiating but nothing that you could say that’s a lot of heat. I could probably see where the longer you used it by adding more wood keeping it consistently hot you would notice a significant increase as the heat itself would begin to radiate from the steel as it continually gets hotter.

This stove is designed to produce large amounts of charcoal and embers. The combustion chamber is not deep and the grate is too high - a pity. The flame is dangerous and out of control. The material is inappropriate - the stainless steel sheet will undergo internal molecular structural deformation, burn out and eventually rust will appear.
