Kyle has enough on his plate the MR2 the hondaru project and the thousand horsepower prelude now if they ever want to attempt the double K swap that shopping go kart is really not relevant... We want to see cars more than go karts not to mention the minivan the wago and the hatch.. they are way to busy...

Turbo'd single cylinders don't usually work well. While the exhaust is spooling up the turbo, the intake is closed. Maybe some type or giant exhaust manifold or intake manifold that almost stores the energy would help.

I remember when cleetus got one of these saying he would swap it but never did. You guys need to Honda swap one for sure. That would make for an awesome build.

For the comments about motor, boost and AFR, you're all wrong. Those engines make plenty of power and on 28 PSI that engine is probably putting out 150+% more than that dyno is showing. The MAJOR draw back and loss is in clutching. The helix ramp angle, primary and secondary spring pressure, weight ramp profiles and adjusting tip weight, heel weight and middle weight can all be adjusted and ALL play a major roll in RPM, stall and power band range. If you've never tuned a centrifugal or CVT clutch you have no idea how difficult and tedious it is and how much can be lost and gained there.

Yes Its a catch 22, despite the loss of the gear sets it's extremely difficult to dial in. Simplicity becomes overly technical when it comes to tuning a CVT. This is where experience plays a big factor in attaining the best all-around drivability and performance. Brett's pretty level headed, if he has a problem he can cure, he's always willing to reach out to other experts. Smart intelligent people know when to ask questions..

Never heard if it was an XP Turbo or an XP 1000 with turbo added. A stock 1000 motor won't be able to hold up to that much boost not sure if the stock XPT motor will either.

Just find a cheap LS and swap it into a shitbox. Tune on it all you want and if it blows up, throw another motor in.

There are companies making turbo kits and everything for these, capable of 400+ HP. Same with the Can Am Maverick X3 and the Yamaha YXZ. Pretty insane machine with that power level and only weighing 1200-1500lbs.

my brother has a big Rzr. took me riding, ended up hiding a excavator hole at 35 mph, knocked us pretty good and snapped clean off the a-arms,control arms, steering rods, axles, portals ETC clean off the welds lol we got stuck out there for over 10 hours. RZR's are awesome just watch out for holes xd

Good morning fellas. 220hp out of a Razor isn't bad. I have a 2001 Arctic Cat ZR600 its NA and mades around 120hp from the factory. I want to turbocharge it this summer. I'm shooting for 250hp.

The 2-stroke turbo's are so much fun. But you may want to swap in a 800cc before you turbo it.

I used to build trans for these at team industries in Bagley MN!

with cvt, you would need to do a fixed gear run to tune anything other than the transmission :)

Guy drives one of these around my neighborhood. Seen him burn the tires from a roll. Cool machines.

gotta love the old scrambler 400 4x4. I had the x model (2002) and that thing was tough as nails and with the right tire it had the wheel speed to get through a lot of very difficult terrain.

this thing definitely isn't tuned quite right. It's an entirely different beast compared to a car. The CVT clutch alone makes everything different. Definitely shouldnt be so choppy down low like you see at the end of the video with the ride along. Ive personally been in a few modified turbo rzrs making 200+ hp.

I think the variomatic is keeping the rpm down? those things are designed to keep rpm in some range and then variates the load by changing the ratio? i think you need like lighter rollers to get the rpm's higher / ramp up faster.. or heavier ones if you start overpowering thee vario.. either that or have like a servo controlled vario and some brent magic?

Absolutely love your channel (along with boostedboiz and Cleetus of course) the content is always great, sho’nufff top 3 Chanel’s on the tube. Love watching the dyno videos, but I would suggest maybe getting some sort of separate microphone for you (Brent) while you’re in the cars doing your tuning magic, that’s the only area that could use slight improvement. Other than that don’t change a fuckin thing cause you guys are awesome!

Belt slippage? When I used to play with gas golf carts our drive and driven clutches would start to slip belts. We needed to upgrade to a heavy duty belt

These things are notorious for shredding belts. Believe it or not the OEM Polaris belt is probably the best choice. Clutch alignment, heat, dirt, water all play a significant part in belt life as well
