Why are people saying the engine is reliable lol mine broke on me for no reason and my mechanic put a engine in and it didn’t run because it was shit also, not sure if I’ll even be able to find a k series engine to replace my broken one at this point

I think they'd be more "accepting" if it was swapped with LS or HEMI instead of Japanese engines but you do have a point. It's their car, let them put whatever engine they like. Let people put LS on RX7s, RB26 on Mustangs and etc.

I was a lil butt hurt at first as I’m a Ford guy. I have to admit this thing is just plain cool and can’t be mad at all as it’s driving and being enjoyed instead of just sitting. Congrats on the swap and building a cool car.

A lot of people gave him shit for putting a K in a Mustang of such “prestige”. Now after looking at it and realizing this car will be in the road for another 10-20 years if he keeps it here is kinda satisfying to know. Keep cars on the road by any means is a real thing and I’m okay with it

As someone who got into Honda’s in 1999 and owning/building/racing Honda’s only since then and all that AFTER owning 4 mustangs prioR, a 65, a 69 an 87 lx5.0 and an 85 gt… I have to say loud and clear… THIS FUCKING KID RULES!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This one of the coolest builds I’ve seen, mad props for doing it. Love the car and the swap. Box’s are for boring people, never stay inside the box. 👍

My two favorite cars together ever, my first car was a 66 mustang. Now that I’m 59 years old I drive a Honda CRV with a K engine it’s the best engine I ever owned is so reliable I want nothing more than to soup it up ,but I can’t find a standard transmission so this guy got everything I want all wrapped up in one

@@jojojeep1 Second gen 2002-2006 came in K24 and 5 speed manual. They also have a dummy gear and you can add the 6th gear pretty easy.

Sick build . As a first gen Mustang guy I love the innovation. Those that condemn this realize this is a garden variety coupe that probably sat next to someone’s house for the last 15 years. Damn 65-66 coups weighed under 2800 lbs! This car will rock those WRX tuner kids world .

Blew my mind with the 350z transmission, props to you and whoever helped on the build. Guys have a sense of humor

Love the clandestine nature of those strut tower braces with engine clearance in mind. Great build man.

I love the grunge of it. Its a perfect car and will grow to a beast. Re-feature after the build moves further a long with his power goals. Awesome build.

Awesome transmission choice! Got one behind 4.8ls I'm trying to put in my 93 hardbody! Love the 3 pedal life!!!

I love the old Mustangs and I'm okay with this. It's a 66" that's still on the road and that's what's important. Can't wait to see an update when the body work is done.

Should be a great engine for that car. A lot of people don't realize how small and lightweight a '66 Mustang is. Owner is invested in this ride -- the way he should be.
