You do know that if you put the air flow meter on the pipe between the intercooler and the intake, you will get good idle and it will run smooth through the powerband. Nice vids man keep it up :)

You also need to place it after the blowoff valve. so the air flow meter closest to the intake

Sweet car! Ive got an old 740 from 88 (tuned a bit and slammed but no turbo) ^^ My neighbour also has one, but he swapped the engine to a T5 from a 850 with bigger turbo and all, and HOLY FUCK IT GOOOEEEES! Cheers from Sweden! Great to see not only swedes enjoy some Swedish Metal! :)

have u ever messed with the m90 gearbox? isnt that suppose to hold more power? if u strenghen 3rd gear

How hard is it to turbo a red block that has never been turbocharged...I'm looking into buying a Volvo and I want to know would it be better to buy one that already has a turbo or is it not really a big pain in the ass to turbo one that never has had one

Doug Burruano you could probably buy stock Volvo turbo part cheap from a scrapyard. But I think it's different pistons and cam on the turbo than the regular.

Someday you should film a full out engine swap! Maybe a 2JZ or LS swap Goldie. This is when you are tired of the 4 banger though.

Dude that thing is fucking maney as fuck running 21 pounds. My 740 turbo is running 10.5 at the moment and it feels fast to me! :p I wish I could go higher but 9mm rods..... (sad face)

TR7 TRIUMPH it's not a slow car by any means ! I've ran 9mm rod motors on 15psi and never had problems , make sure you run high octane gass and you're good till 15psi on stock injectors , outside air temperature will play a role in staying away from detonation though

Thats good to hear, I think there is a Sunoco near me with 100 octane, so hell yeah, I might try turning the boost up to 13 or 14 psi this weekend! :p

SZAJCONN there are a few factors to remember , during the winter you won't ping as easily , but I've heard of many people pinging at even 10psi on a really hot day , not exactly the greatest advice to say you can run low octane fuel with double the boost than stock..

Alexander Wendelsten I'd probably go with an m90 shipped over from Europe and do the 3rd gear mod before I did a t5 . the m46 has treated me well though , I also don't drive like a noob banging gears , there's a way to make them last

The m90 is garbage for the money....get the kaplhenke adapter plate and throw a t5 in...start breaking T5s, save up for a tko600 and bolt it in.

Asher Cl from talking to alot of swedish guys they say with the third gear synchro welded they are a very strong tranny , all said and done the cost would be alot lower because I could run the same clutch and flywheel setup in using right now and not have to buy an addapter plate and get a custom driveshaft made .

Quich....... bruh have you looked at a map before, Florida is 3k miles (almost 5000km) from BC.

The ipd cam is a little cam, stop focusing on it so much. That car is a 90, you are no where near the limit of those rods in that motor...throw the ebay turbo and stock management in the shit can. A stock 90+ b230 will hold up to 350whp with no issues with proper tuning. With that setup you have, you are probably making 230-240whp.

Asher Cl yea the ipd cam isn't that aggressive in the big scheme of things , I suppose I may be under estimating the strength of a stock b230ft . I will go with megasquirt one day when finances allow but for now in having fun with the chipped lh2.4 . the turbo on this car is no eBay turbo , it's an ar63 Garret exhaust housing , and an ar60 Garret compressor with a clipped compressor wheel . should be good to 300whp with this turbo atleast
