How dare you compare La Nilsson to this monstrosity. La Nilsson never pushed her voice to the point where it sharpened horribly. Nilsson had a glorious voice. Netrebko certainly doesn't. Netrebko will never come close to Nilsson's musicianship

I think this is better than her previous performances. Now she didn't insist in breathing in with her nose. Sounds more natural. "Quel grido e quella morte" is rather impressive.

Bc she has a mic and doesn't push as much as in other version. But in any case, this is a as wobbly, unmusical as always. I used to enjoy Netrebko singing operetta, Adina, Mimi.... her actual repertory and the state of her voice... is just sad.

I agree the technique has been tweeked and i like it.

Met invited her to sing Turandot in this year. I guess Met lost their mind.

The first sour note is at 0.21and it doesn't get better. Flat at 2.27 She almost makes me long for Gweneth Jones, that's how bad she is.

Удивляюсь приведенным ниже комментариям. Наверное, это специальная операция по очернению великой певицы, достигшей своим необыкновенным талантом и трудом всемирного признания. Да еще в такой юбилей. Постеснялись бы! Я много слышал разных Турандот. Это исполнение поистине ВЕЛИКОЛЕПНО! Голос звучит очень ровно, красиво. Все ноты взяты точно и легко. Одеяние и антураж совершенно уместны. Для критики нет оснований. Только СПАСИБО и БРАВИССИМО!!! С днем рождения! Здоровья и новых успехов, многоуважаемой и любимой Анне Юрьевне!

А где там очень ровно? Наверно имеется ввиду эти звуки рвотного позыва 2:41? Или может быть эта имитация сломанной охранной сирены 5:42? И для кого великая? Для крестьян и плебеев, которые пишут комментарии под заказ Непотребко и Ко? Это не претензии, просто очень интересно узнать сколько вам платят за комментарии подобного содержания.

The Met Opera treated Anna terribly. I wanted to see what I missed. Peter Gelb, the manager should have been fired, not Anna. The Ukrainian soprano who did Turandot at the Met was terrible..

This does not in any way mean mediocrity must be celebrated… we do not judge a singer against our own talent but against those that have stood where she sings…. I for one listen to everyone with no preconceptions but nonsense is nonsense.

This is just awful. She's getting worse and worse. She's pushing her voice to the point where her singing sounds so forced. Nilsson and Sutherland elegantly flowed through the music taking due care to what Puccini wanted. This isn't about Puccini or singing . Its the everybody look at me show.
