Tunstall is one of the six towns that, along with Burslem, Longton, Fenton, Hanley and Stoke-upon-Trent, amalgamated to form the City of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, England. It was one of the original six towns that federated to form the city. Tunstall is the most northern, and fourth largest town of the Potteries. It is situated in the very northwest of the city borough, with its north and west boundaries being the city limit. It stands on a ridge of land between Fowlea Brook to the west and Scotia Brook to the east, surrounded by old tile-making and brick-making sites, some of which date back to the Middle Ages.

So sad. I had family in Tunstall when I was a kid in the late 70's / early 80's and I remember visiting many times and what a fun and vibrant and busy place it was. Great memories! I visited for the first time in about four decades a few weeks ago and I'm not gonna lie, I actually felt quite tearful at what an absolute state the town center is in nowadays, I've seen some northern towns fall into disrepair but Tunstall is the worst I've ever seen.

10:25 The irony. A rundown shop called Posh, and Subway, who's slogan is eat fresh, with a rotten window with birds flying in and out of it, above where they're serving food.

I'm 17 and have lived in Stoke all my life. I'm honestly ashamed to say that with how bad it's gotten
The apartments on the former picture palace site...... Whoever approved the mild steel balcony rails wants sacking, who's responsibility is it to paint them?? What an eyesore just outside the memorial gardens and conservation area, lovely, well done. 👿

Even as a Derby lad I always look forward to going to Stoke on trent im serious the architecture is under rated ive not been for about 2 years but I used to take my kids to waterworks but I've driven around many times just taking it in. 👍👍

Makes me want to cry. Makes me ashamed to say I've lived here all my 57yrs....... But it wasn't always like this, I can assure you. Of course, it isn't all the council's fault, but they aren't helping much. If any councillors are watching, STOP putting tarmac on the pavements, the clues in the name, pave. They are slapping tarmac everywhere STOP, it's looks awful, can they not see that...... Same in all the streets, the cheapest option, they need to get the basic stuff right before thinking of their grand projects. Totally fed up Tunstall bloke. 👿 PS. I told the Severn Trent workers to put the slabs back Infront of my house, they replied " we cant, the council have told us to tarmac it" so the slabs were broken up as hardcore. 👿

Another irony shown in this video is that amount of Disabled parking space available, there for disabled shoppers who will probably never go there again. I feel like popping up there just to park on one of these bays, put my blue badge up, and just go to a local corner shop, just to use the parking space.
Can’t even describe my thoughts about Tunstall

Immigration has destroyed large parts of the Midlands people call it progress i call it bollock. Tgey get to keep their culture in their countries but destroy ours. Most people have given up in our towns and I dont blame them

@@WEAREDERBY1884If ...." Diversity is our STRENGTH " then why do the streets and public services we all rely on get poorer & poorer with every new wave of mass migration ?
16:35 Do you remember the underground toilets here in front of this clock tower?

Yes , beautifully tiled , all the brass and copper pipes polished. Should have been a listed building, not just filled in.
Conveniently never showed the Alexander shopping centre across the road.
