Word of warning to be very careful with the connector for the lock. The door handle connector is pretty solid but the little arm that holds the cable in for the door locks is really flimsy

Good to see if I have same issue on my 2018.

I just got a 2016, and it has the same issue, and yes, it is very annoying lol. Now i know how to fix it ..

I have the same issue on my 2014 Tundra. Toyota had %25 off and free ship for bfriday. If full price I would have gone 3rd party but prices were alot closer on sale. I just attempted to replace mine and like you said the bolt took some force to come out. Mine had blue Loctite in it. My problem is I went to put the bolt back in and it won't go. Don't see how since I just pulled it out. Considering running a tap/die to clean up the threads. They do still have some blue in them but I figured that would just give a tighter fit. Happy you didn't have the same issue. Would welcome hearing from anyone else that did.

Good luck with it. I replaced one on my 2012 a few years ago and a gust of wind broke it as well. Now I'm back to watching videos to remember how to do it. It was china made too. Proudly I'm sure ...

Hmmm, never became an issue for me. Just put the two cables back where they came from.

Sorry man, try not to make it to long. I just pop them off with leverage from my fingers. There is a little groove toward the front of the controls where you can place a little plastic pry tool and it will come right off.

@@kedrevs4037 When I pulled it out like you did, it was easy, so it did help! I was taking the entire panel off for sound deadening. Thanks for the video.
