Stephanie Hebert he's never played a gay/bi- character, though. Being openly queer, and being in a "subtext" with another character are completely different things. Even in that movie, which YOU brought up, he's never explicitly stated as gay/bi- (as the link shows), it's completely "subtextual", which means nothing. Subtext has a tone of plausible deniability and places the burden entirely on the viewer (i.e. we didn't write it/I didn't play it that way, that's how YOU interpreted it)... So my point still stands, we have no way of knowing if Jensen Ackles is comfortable playing a gay/bisexual character coz he's. Never. Played. One. Before.

As Cas learns about humanity - mainly from the Winchesters - I believe he begins to idolize Dean as someone he would like to emulate and would like Dean's respect for his efforts too. Why Dean? That reminds me of my experience with Crowley. I knew he was a baddy and my mums favourite character so I was just like "Oh. I love how the cast and crew are so supportive of all the slash pairings like Sabriel and Destiel instead of being like "Oh ew no I hate that, that's so wrong." Like it's pretty cool :) I for one LOVE Destiel! I've never heard of Sabriel though. Favorite Destiel moment is when Cas appears behind Dean and scares him and Dean is like "Cas, get out of my ass!" and Cas is like "I'm not in your..." lol XD

I appreciate the way they don't afraid to upset fans :) Richard talked about Sabriel "that's not a rumor, that's true" in Australia, but I can't find the video of it :( The actress of Charlie is so awesome. She encouraged people to create whatever we want. We only live once, why not make some differences to the world ;)
